The Scream
Bring me out of this confusion,
take me from this dispair.
My life seems a meager hollow
in a single strand of hair.
I have a void in my soul,
waiting for something unknown.
Is it knowledge, power, fame, or love?
Is it simply a hand to hold?
As I lay my head to rest each night
a life of fear unfolds.
I doubt myslef and hope
that life lets loose its stranglehold.
My hear beats fast,
robbing my sleep.
My mind will not let me dream.
When daylight comes,
my mask is on.
No one hears me scream.
