You see what I did with the dollar I earned by participating in an inquiry from Byte magazine
back in 1990 when I was still using a 286, and learning about developments.
I took a subscription to Byte back in 1985, and to my sorrow they stopped Garcia's
Circuit Cellar a year later. I ended the subscription in 1992, by that time the
information the magazine presented had turned into a kind of shopping guide,
tests and advertisements.
Very good in fact, but I wasn't into advising what hardware to buy anymore, since I had turned to art.
Some time later, I contacted my colleague's about the prospects of selling kinetic art.
My peers (about 70 in this specialty in Holland) told me that I could forget
about selling my work. Still, I'm hoping and trying to find the right target group.
In the meanwhile, the Dutch Art Foundation (Fonds voor beeldende kunsten,
architectuur en bouwkunst) accepted my request for a grant, so I am able to carry on.
If you feel generous or if you carry too heavy a load, don't hesitate to share.
As a result, this money will disappear forever from your life! *
Of course I accept dollars, e-cash, Dutch florins, yen, ecu's..
You can mail me a proposition.
