Secondary Computer: AST Advantage 60Mhz Pentium, 24 MB RAM, 540MB HDD, SB16 Sound, 2x CDROM, keyboard, Kensington "Mouse in a box," sharing monitor and modem with primary system.

Operating System: Windows ’95, Windows NT 4.0 workstation

HTML Editor: I’m using the Geocities Advanced Editor to create all my pages without the assistance of an editor. If I have a text-intensive page, I will usually type it up on Write or Notepad and then cut/paste to the GeoCities editor.

Editor’s update: I’m still doing a lot of the coding by hand, but I just bought a copy of the Corel WebMaster Suite in order to have more control over my website. I’m also building some pages for friends, etc., and this will give me the ability to manage websites remotely more easily.

Adventures in computer building! I spent two days putting my new system together. After this experience, I remembered why it is better to throw away possibly defective parts rather than keeping them around in your parts kit. After several trips back and forth to the computer store for cables, adapters, etc., I was up and running with my new system. I'm going to be using my secondary system as a "crash and burn" box while I practice for my MSCE certification and teach myself LINUX.
