THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY.

FADE IN:
SCENE 1.
EXT. SUBWAY
NIGHT

The subways passes with speed and stops at the Broadway Station. From one of the trains comes Anders, A 22year old swede that has moved here from Tyresö. He looks weak for his 77½ inches tall body. He is dressed in blue jeans and a t-shirt that says "D.I.Y.!". He places himself on a bench and starts to take out something from the plasticbag he carries. It looks like a rope and he ties it 'round his arm and he starts to slap his veins. He then take the rope and keeps it thight by holding it in his mouth. He then takes a needle and press it into his bruised arm and his face shines up as the drugs go deeper into himself. He packs everything into the plasticbag and he starts to head for the exit.

When he starts to walk up the million stair, He meets an old couple. They watch him as he picks up a spraycan and starts to spray the words "Jag, Den skyldige" and that means "I, The guilty one". He feels ashame of his drugabuse and when the old couple looks at him, He feels a greater feeling of loneliness and he starts to cry a bit. The old couple continue their journey down the millions of stairs.

EXT. BROADWAY AVENUE
NIGHT.

When Anders come up from the darkness of the subway, He see the world as it really look. He see's the people as slowly melting non-human and the cars look's like some dirty, Old busses with the driver as Mr. Death and the passenger as the creatures to be brought to hell. He feels sorry for them and he starts to slowly walks along the wall of the biggest house on this street. Suddenly, A lamb is found dead on the road in front of him. It has a big sign that says "Your time has come. The lamb is starting to die. The lamb's lies down on Broadway" and in that instance, A huge steamcloud is coming up the street and swallows everything that is in it's way. The busses with the dead are swallowed into eternal darkness and Anders feels like this is going to be The Last Trip in his life. He decides to give up his lousy life and he just stands up and screams at the cloud.

Anders

Come here and take me then. I have lived a miserably life and this is maybe my destiny, To be swallowed into the great depths of darkness by a steamcloud.

The huge cloud burst upon Anders and for a second he feels for the first time in history, A great relief. He feels like he can start a whole new life. But just seconds after that, A huge pain goes thru his body and he starts to cramp and he suddenly finds himself in a strange landscape with bodies hanging from trees and animals running around in the hill's. This is inside that big cloud of steam. A little man comes forward to Anders and introduces him as a kind of host of this place.

EXT. THE WORLD OF ESCAPE
DAWN

Brother John

Hello Anders. I'm Brother John and the place you have come to is my world of escape. All the good people come to Heaven, All the bad people come to Hell and the people who escape come's here.

Anders looks a little confused at the 57 inches tall man.

Anders

Does that mean i'm dead? But I can feel every part in my body and I am not hanging from a tree. What's this gonna mean to me? Am I something in between Heaven and Hell?

Brother John hushes Anders and starts to walk with him trough the strange, But at the same time beatiful, Landscape. He meets a whole bunch of people that he dont know. But suddenly, He recognize someone hanging from a tree.

Anders

But I know this guy! He died last week. But he was clean. He didn't take any drugs or so. He had a family and a life.

Brother John

May be so, But he escaped from secrets and secrets you can never run from.

Brother John continues to walk at the small aisle they have walked at but Anders stops and starts to question the journey they are taking.

Anders

If I am going to continue, I want to know what we are going to do and I want quick answers. Where really are we? Is this a kind of punishment? But for what? And what do you want me to do?

Brother John just smiles a little smile and he turns and suddenly the flood of pain is going thru Anders body again and he feels that he is falling but not that he is landing. He open his eyes and find himself floating in space. He starts to scream, but none can hear him. He look at the stars and find that the stars form a cage 'round him. He feels even more trapped than when he used to walk the earth. But suddenly, He see a spaceship. When it is just beside him, He sees that the one who drive the ship is Brother John. He starts to scream at him.

SCENE 2.

EXT. SPACE
NIGHT

Anders

Help! Please help me!

But he ignores his scream for help and Anders sees that he starts to cry. A stream of blood falls to his cheek and he replies with the strangest of answers.

Brother John

You got to learn it by the history! The key to your problem doesn't lie in your hand or anyothers! It lies in the hand of mother time and she doesn't have much time left now. She is dying of overtime and the trouble of sick time. You gotta reach her before she leaves us totally. Then you can get answers to all your questions. Dont forget what I have said now. Meet her in the right time and square and you will have the greatest time of your life. Bye!

Then suddenly the cage dissolve and the darkness of space dissapear and Anders stands in the middle of a factory. The machines noise is headaching and the sudden light that meet's Anders is almost too much. When he is used to the light and the noise, He starts to look around and he see's that almost all the people in there is the same people that was hanging from the trees.

SCENE 3

EXT. THE FACTORY OF PACKAGING  
EVENING

Anders

What are you doing here? Why dont you let yourself free from the escape?

And then a man in his 30's turns around and the look in his face is the same look a man that have watched his life drive away.

The Fore-Man
For the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging
- All ready to use!
The Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging
- I just need a fuse

And when he sings this, The entire factory seems to join him in his chanting and the machine starts to play the backgroundinstrument.

All

For the Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging

- I just need a fuse.

And then a fat lady in red hair and loads of makeup appears beside Anders.

Receptionist

It's the last great adventure left to mankind!

Anders starts to feel sick when he suddenly look at the upper wall of the factory. Behind the glass he sees Brother John and he suddenly feels alright again and he runs out of the factory. When he exits the factory a flood of pain is running thru him again and when he wakes up this time he is sitting in a taxi on Broadway.

SCENE 4

INT. TAXI 666
BROADWAY AVENUE
MORNING

The seat is made of leather and the windshields are covered in rain as the rain is falling down from the open sky. Anders finds himself having a cabdrivers cap and a vest and a pair of jeans. The world outside the cab seems to go in slowmotion but in the taxi the world is like normal. When Anders is about to exit the cab, A customer steps in and talks with a familiar voice to Anders.

Brother John

To the End of The World please!

Then Anders turns around and look Brother John straight in the eyes and ask what he want to show with this trip.

Anders

What do you think that I gain with this trip? I just want to die, That's all. I just want to rest in mother earth and go to sleep. Is that to much to ask for? I cant handle this anymore. I think I will go insane.

Brother John smiles even wider now as he talks calmly to Anders.

Brother John

To answer you question in right order: I want you to realize how death is like when you are one of the living and i'm sure that the speaking of death is just bullshit from your side. This is the prize of escape. If you want to realize how all this places together, Then follow the outerworld with new eyes.

And when Anders look's out, He sees himself trembling out of the subway and he suddenly realize that this isn't Heaven nor Hell. This is the The Reality that has run right before him. He see's himself falling to the walkway and it hurts to see himself just lying there on the walkway and all the people just ignore him. Anders starts to cry when he see himself lying there on the walkway. Then suddenly a lamb is appearing. It's a great, White creature and it's lying on Broadway Avenue. Suddenly a huge wave of pain drives thru his body and he fades out.

SCENE 5.

EXT. HOSPITAL
NIGHT

A huge madrassed room. A deadly silent. That is the world that Anders wakes up to. He feels sick and he pukes in one of the corners. When he had cleared his mind, He discovers the prison he has get in. When he is trying to stand up, He fails. He is locked with a big chain in the wall. He also has a straightjacket. The chain is long enough for him to have a peek out of the door. A long corridor is traveling upside. In the other end a similar room to the one he's in is placed. In that room he sees a man sitting on his knee's and pray. He hears the pray and it reminds him of his time in prison. When he joins the praying, The door slam shut and a face appears on the other side of the door. It's Brother John.

Brother John

.....And in here have we a case of typical insanity. He was found lying in the walkway on Broadway with a dead lamb besides him. We was getting a call about a strange fellow in the subways, So we was going there with the ambulance and then we found him there. He's a case of abnormal insanity. A real monster.

Anders, Who is shocked about the speach of Brother John, Stands up as much as he can and starts to yell at Brother John.

Anders

I'm not insane. I am what I am. You are fucking playing with my mind. This aint fun anymore. I dont understand what you talk about. "Find mother time"! What do you mean with that? Is that one of the missions to die or? I just want to die! Do you hear me! I JUST WANT TO DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And as the scream fades out a narrator voice is heard.

Narrator

And as the darkness closed in on Anders, A great relief was taken from the arms of Atlas as the world growned lighter and happier.

CUT TO:
CARD. 2008.
EXT. HOSPITAL
DAY

The alarm goes off and a couple of nurses is running down the long hallway. On the alarmboard on the wall a light is blinking and the number under the lamp is 2201342124. 4 nurses runs down to room 2201342124 and unlocks it. There they meet a vision that no human can forget. A lamb is laying in the cell and there is no trace of the patient but that's not everything. The lamb has been butchered and there is blood over the whole cell and one of the nurses runs out and pukes on the floor. The narrator is speaking as we follow the nurses carry the lamb down the corridor.

Narrator

And as The Lamb is being taken care of, the memory of the man who was is now lost and not remembered. Anders has now finally been taken to the great open and he is finally free from the burden of the drugs.

And as the lights is fading down a whirring sound is heard from the asylum, Meaning this is the end and the only end.

FADING OUT.
