Quirky contemporary folk trio. Singing of distributor caps, lawn darts and guys named Bob, Ed's Redeeming Qualities is responsible for two cleverly amusing albums that transcend genre limitations. Sharing vocals are violinist / guitarist Carrie Bradley, ukelele ace Dan Leone, and bongos / clarinet man Neno Perrotta (who also shakes a mean jar of rice). The San Francisco-based ERQ debuted on Flying Fish Records with "More Bad Times" in 1990 (the set is dedicated to Dom Leone, writer of "Buck Tempo," who died before its release), and encored with "It's All Good News," another delightfully off - the - wall 1991 collection.
