Juuban Shopping District

The west side of the Juuban Shopping District is no less busy that
the east side. In the area is a bookstore and a small taiyaki stand
from which enticing odors waft. The street is extremely busy and filled
with cars from people hurrying about to get their errands done.

Douwa Theatre
Taiyaki Stand Naniwaya Bookstore East Ayanojou walks down the block, on his way to school. He has a disinterested look on his face, as he looks on, one hand in a pocket, the other holding his briefcase over a shoulder. Sakura comes from down the street. Sakura has arrived. Sakura skips in, smiling. Rosuto is standing just outside the Theatre, yawning absently as he props the door open with a rock he found... well, sometimes it's better not to know where he finds things. He looks up, squinting at the sky, and pauses as he looks down again, spying a familiar redhead. "....Ohayo, Ayanojou!" Ayanojou pikus and turns his head, at the sound of his name. He smiles up towards Rosuto. "Ohayou yourself, Rosuto!" At that, he makes his way over to the theatre. Sakura alters her course and skips up alongside Ayanojou. 35.4F (1.9C) The clouds appear to be just sitting there. Currently, partially cloudy with the winds dying down (E). Rosuto doesn't see Sakura at first, his attention taken by Ayanojou. "Heh. What are you doing up so ear.." He pauses, blinking. "Oh, yes. School today?" Ayanojou stops mid-gait and turns his head, towards his shadow. "Ohayoo, Caboose-chan." Sakura looks puzzled. "Caboose-chan?" Rosuto blinks again, then snickers softly, arms folding over his chest. His brown-gold eyes shift down towards Sakura, regarding her bemusedly. Ayanojou nods to Rosuto, "Hai." He gives out a soft sigh. "I think I stayed up a bit late last night." Sakura smiles at Rosuto and bows a little in greeting. Rosuto's head inclines to the girl before he looks back towards Ayanojou, a wry smile playing upon his lips. "Last night was a rather ... notable one," he replies, tone mild with faint amusement. Sakura exclaims "Yes it was! I got a new dog!" Ayanojou smiles slightly to Rosuto, almost pouting, "Who do you think got to clean that up, hm?" He sighs and glances to Sakura, "What kind?" Sakura says "He's a little mutt, funny face, my brother named him Iggy. He's so funny and he loves gum for some reason." Ayanojou goes "Iggy...?" *piku* "Odd name, there." Sakura says "I know, my brother's an odd guy." "Iggy," Rosuto repeats quietly after giving Ayanojou a crooked smile, peering back down at the girl. "Oddness makes life interesting." Sakura nods. Ayanojou says "Sou desu." Sakura asks "So what happened to you last night Ayanojou-sempai?" Ayanojou goes "Well, how have your readings been, Madame Sakura-chan? Hm? Oh, nothing much... I had to buy alot of groceries. Touga-san insisted." He chuckles. Ayanojou . o O ( That's after... all that. x.x ) Rosuto pauses, then rolls his shoulders. "Groceries. Heh." He starts to smile again, but it evolves into a yawn. The Seiryuu seishi tries to smother it with a pale hand, but it escapes anyway. Sakura says "Really good, I've gotten three more positive readings." Ayanojou has a bit of a pale look for a moment, as he thinks about things. He smiles at Sakura. "Oh? Do tell." Sakura says "Well, this girl I met named Miki got a good love fortune, my brother got a good one regarding his job I think and Iggy got a good one but then he tried to eat the cards." Rosuto is glad his hand is already posed to smother the yawn, because now it serves to smother a laugh as well. Ayanojou chuckles. "What happened in his reading, I wonder..?" Sakura says "It said he would be happy and have kids some day." "How profound," Rosuto comments, not without some dryness to his grin. Sakura asks "So, Rosuto-san are you sure you don't want me to read yours? Three good one in a row, I'm on a roll." Rosuto's smile falters. Shaking his head, he lets one hand drop to his waist, the other resting loosely at his side. "Iie. I'm sure." Sakura says "Ok then." Ayanojou blinks. "...Ne, you could read a general fortune, for the city, if you want." Sakura smiles. "Good idea!" Rosuto's expression is one of discomfort for a few moments, then nothing at all, looking back towards Ayanojou with arched brows. "Are you sure that's wise?" Sakura throws down her Totoro (tm) backpack and pulls out her book, open it up and draws forth her deck of cards. Ignoring the small amounts of dog slobber on them, she closes her eyes and shuffles. She then puts down the six cards in her standard fashion. Ayanojou asks "Hmm. Well, from how I was taught in these matters, was that you take readings as a way to focus your intentions. They portray your situation, like a map. Is reading a map unwise?" Rosuto averts his gaze, corners of his lips pulled into the faintest of frowns. "Depends on where you want to go," he murmurs quietly. Ayanojou closes his eyes, and sighs. "Hontou." Sakura flips over the first card, revealing the familiar symbol of "The Dark" although you could swear the woman in the picture was smiling a little more. Sakura says "The Dark Woman is very important to the future of this city. She could bring it's end or great change to this place. She could also represent the dark intentions of the people living in this city, their dark desires and the consequences they may have on this city." Rosuto's lips purse as his brown-gold eyes alight on the first card. . o O ( There's one. It's even the first, same as mine. K'so! I don't like this hobby of hers. ) Ayanojou smirks. "There's no surprise. The Dark." Sakura nods and flips over the next card. There sits a man with long, red hair, dressed in black armor and seated on a black horse, in his hand is a long thin sword and around him are rose bushes, covered in black roses. "The Black Knight" is written across the bottom. Ayanojou raises a brow. . o O ( Looks like Touga-san... ) "That one's new." Sakura says "First time I've ever gotten it." Rosuto asks "What is it?" Sakura says "This one is the subordinate to the first. The black knight represents good intentions gone wrong, people trying to do good but who fall from the path of righteousness. Like politicians who begin with good promises but become corrupt with power and money or the lover who starts out cherishing his love but becomes overprotective and jealous of any who go near her. He could also represent progress gone awry or love turned slowly to hate as he is the opposite card to the Hero." Ayanojou . o O ( Hmm.... ) Sakura flips the next one over, revealing the Chaos card. Ayanojou mutters to Rosuto, "... should... what..." Ayanojou whispers "Maybe we should take bets on what cards show up." Rosuto fingers a beaded strand of hair quietly, his eyes narrowed with skepticism and growing unease. His weight shifts, settling on one foot while the other tucks behind his ankle. "Ch'," he emits, then looks at Ayanojou, quirking a brow before sharing a smirk. Ayanojou sounds slightly sarcastic as he mumbles something to Rosuto. Sakura says "This one again," she sighs, "The first two are subordinate to this one. They are it's servants, willing or not. These three cards alternately represent The most negative forces of all, lust for power, twisted desire and mindless destruction." She looks up, distracted for a minute. "This one doesn't seem to be making sense at all." "On the contrary," Rosuto interjects suddenly, a bitter smile on his lips accompanying the coldness in his voice. "It makes entirely too much sense." Ayanojou's tone is flat as he nods to Sakura, "Ne... please continue." He glances over to Rosuto. . o O ( What is Touga up to? ) Sakura shrugs and flips over the next card, there sits the familiar form of "The Maiden" sleeping or is it resting forever on her bed of flowers. Rosuto peers, obviously thinking the latter of the card, for the coldness in his voice hasn't wavered in the slightest. "How lovely. What does that one mean?" Sakura says "This one, when it follows those three are the prize that the darkness seeks. It could be a real woman, someone of virtue whom they seek to corrupt or destroy or it could be a thing of virtue they wish to be rid of. It is hard to tell, let us see what the next one has to say." Sakura flips over the next card, revealing the sword wrapped in chains. Sakura asks "Ah, the sword, the conflict again. Whether it is the conflict over the maiden or something far worse, I cannot tell. The sword is the physical or spiritual fight we all endure in life, every day that we exist. That or a soon to occur conflict with more import. It says that the three great darknesses will battle for or against the virtue and purity but to what end? The central card may tell us what this is all about." Ayanojou tucks his hair back, a serious expression glazed on his face. Sakura flips over the last card, revealing a black space of nothing, below that is the English word, "The End" Rosuto sounds a little weary, though his outward expression hasn't changed. "Another card?" he murmurs, then blinks once at the void represented on it, a shadow descending upon his eyes. 37.2F (2.9C) The clouds appear to be moving in. Currently, cloudy with the winds picking up as it changes direction (was E now ENE). Sakura asks "Um, maybe I shuffled wrong, yeah, I had to have shuffled wrong, let me do that again ok?" Rosuto glances at Ayanojou sidelong, his brows arched slightly. Sakura collects her cards and puts them back in the book, for once she seems disturbed by what she read. Sakura bows, "Maybe I should leave." She is very pale. Rosuto's lips form a faint line, then he nods, still looking at Ayanojou for a moment before returning his gaze to the girl. "Hai. You have school today, don't you?" Sakura says "Hai school is fixed, gotta go." Sakura turns to run away. Rosuto lifts a hand to wave, watching the girl leave. "Sayonara," he calls out, noticeably belated. Sakura heads furthur down the shopping district. /[E]/ Sakura has left. Ayanojou shakes his head, snapping out of it. "..." Ayanojou goes "That was... disturbing." He looks up, and closes his eyes. Rosuto returns his gaze back to Ayanojou, arching a brow at his companion. "Are you all right?" he inquires quietly. Ayanojou's voice is barely a whisper, "Not quite. I will be, though." . o O ( Will propels cause and effect. Get ahold of yourself, and take courage, Ayanojou. ) Rosuto studies the magician for a few beats, then impulsively places his hand on his shoulder, squeezing lightly. "Aa. Smile, Ayanojou. It suits you better." Ayanojou opens his eyes, focusing. He nods, and looks back to you. "Hai... Gomen ne, Rosuto.." Slowly, a small smile spreads on his lips. "Someone has to, hm?" Rosuto's lips form a smile of his own, but his is crooked, almost rueful, but not. "Aa," he says again, agreeably. "And you're far better at it than I, so there." Ayanojou chuckles lightly, "I like your smile. It has style, Rosuto." His eyes look at you lazily, before he blinks, and adds, "But thanks." Rosuto smirks a little, but lets it go. "Do itashimashite," he replies mildly, returning his hand back to his side. "What time does high school get out anyway?" Ayanojou stretches his hands out, "Three o'clock." He looks pondersome for a moment. . o O ( I wonder why he asked... Oh, man... I hope I can stay awake through History. ) Rosuto resists the urge to poke Ayanojou, noticing that he's so tired, and see if he topples over. "That's not too late then. Can I meet you there?" He quirks a brow, his mild tone feeding into his smile. Ayanojou pikus, and looks at you, pleasantly surprised. "I'd be delighted, Rosuto." . o O ( At least some things turn out well..) He idly knocks his hand against the wooden door. Rosuto's lips quirk, mild smile no longer touched with dryness, but still a bit crooked. "Sugoi," he says softly, brown-gold eyes flashing. Ayanojou returns a feline smile, his lazy-seeming eyes locked on yours, a moment. "Hai..." He tilts his head slightly, having to pin back some loose hairs from his face. "I'll look forward to it." Rosuto releases a soft chuckle. "Hai." He then quirks a brow, fingering the beaded strand of hair idly. "Speaking of which, aren't you cutting it a little close?" Ayanojou glances at his watch. "Aa! Shikatanai! I lost track of time. I'll see you then... Gomen!" He snatches his satchel and starts, before turning, and smiling again, with a wave. He turns back, once more, and heads westward to school. Rosuto waves a hand, the other resting lightly on his waist, amusement dancing across his face. "Jya, Ayanojou. Have fun!" Ayanojou exclaims "Haii! You too, Rosuto!" With that, the cranberry-haired man disappears soon, into the wave of people on the Tokyo streets. [end log]
