You climb up to the second floor of the Crown Building.
Crown Fruits Parlor

You enter into the Crown Game Parlor's sister establishment:
Crown Fruits Parlor. This popular coffee and dessert shop boasts the
best ice cream floats and powdered donuts in all of Tokyo. The room is
brightly lit with a large observation window allowing the customers to
view the world as it passes by. Spacious booths line the walls and
center of the room allowing for easy conversation and comfortable
seating. On the wall is a neatly worked sign stating the current
 specials.

Nakago walks in, his gaze directly going towards Yui. He raises an
 eyebrow as he sees Rosuto.

Seated alone at a table that shows signs of others having been there
recently, including one spot at the table that could have been none
other than Miaka-chan, knowing her love of snacking. Picking rather
disinterestedly at her own dish of ice cream, Yui stares off into empty
 air, apparently lost in thought.

Rosuto imagines that he must have entered a few moments before Nakago
then, since he stands only a few strides from the door, combing fingers
through his bangs absently as he looks for a seat. Instinctively, his
own eyes go to Yui, then glance behind him as he feels eyes on his
back. Blink. Blink twice. Seiryuu no Miko /and/ Nakago-sama..? How
 interesting.

[Hongo Yui]
A slender young woman, her somewhat under average height is offset by
confident poise; shoulders back, head held high, and chin up, she meets
the world with a demeanor that is at once confident, and yet outwardly
reserved. An angular face, delicate nose, often primly set lips, and
wide cornflower eyes which speak of an age beyond her apparent years
paint a mixture of delicacy and sensitivity tempered by an edge of keen
observance that only learned wisdom can convey. Lovely in the sense of
simplicity, her eyes, with their clear, expressive azure, and shoulder
length hair that is a blonde so very close to the soft, full gold of
sunlit wheat seem her strongest physicalities, lending further fuel to
the spark of strength that lies within. In truth, it is this very
softness about her face that belies what she would ever really allow
herself to be publicly, and perhaps that is an asset at times as much
as anything, for when the light of some new purpose or passion lights
her face, it brings her to life with a surprising vivacity that few can
 match.
She wears a simple uniform representative of the students of Yotsubodai,
with a white blouse, green jacket and matching skirt, knee-high white
stockings, and sensible black dark shoes. In her left ear she wears a
single blue cloisone earring, one that is rarely visible save for when
 her hair is tucked back.

[Nakago]
The first thing you notice about this man is his blonde hair, an
uncommon color in Tokyo. He wears it in a ponytail, the long hair
falling neatly between his shoulderblades. He also has blue eyes which
suggests that he is from another country. He's quite handsome, and his
tall height and strong build adds to the effect. He carries himself
arrgantly, like one who is accustomed to ordering people around, his
eyes seeming to penetrate and analyze everything that he sees. He's
dressed in a dark blue suit, suggesting that he is a businessman.

Cellphone

Nakago calls out, "Yui-sama." He gives a glance towards Rosuto, then
 heads towards her.

Yui blinks, straightening as Nakago's voice startles her out of her
reverie. "Stefan-san. I did not expect to see you here." Her gaze
flicks about the place, catching sight of Rosuto as he eyes Nakago.
Hmm. "Join me?" she asks, gesturing to the empty seats.

Nakago nods, sitting down at a chair. He looks over to Rosuto. "Come sit
 if you wish, Tomo."

/Tomo??/ Blinking, Yui's eyes narrow in consideration of the last of the
found Seishi she has yet to meet, watching him carefully in the wake of
Nakago's invitation. Belatedly, she gestures to another seat, "Yes,
 Tomo. Join us."

Rosuto folds an arm behind his head with a visible sigh, thinking. He
got looked at, but wasn't spoken to... that could mean anything. One,
leave. Two, follow. Now he could... er. He blinks. Well, that answers
that. His feet carry him towards the table, arm moving back to his
side, hands settling into his pockets. "If neither of you mind..." His
lips quirk into a faint smile. "Yui-sama. It's nice to see you again."

Nakago continues looking at Rosuto until he sits down. He looks back to
Yui, then over at the pile of bowls on the table. "Enjoying a snack?"

Yui dips her head in a single nod, "Tomo-san. Good to finally meet up
with you as well." She turns to Nakago, a brow raised slightly, then
glances back to her ice cream, dropping the spoon into the dish with a
light clatter. "Trying to. Miaka-chan had to go, and Kaisha-san as
well. He was... upset when he left."

Nakago asks "I see. For what reason?" He turns away from the stack.

Rosuto slips into the offered seat soundlessly, leaning his chin into a
hand, elbow resting lightly on the table. He returns Nakago's steady
gaze with faintly arched brows and a slight smile, then turns them on
Yui as the attention shifts to her. He says nothing, though one eyebrow
arches slightly higher than the other at the mention of Amiboshi.

"A case of mistaken identity, I'm afraid. He caught the wrong
conversation, and I don't think it did him any good," Yui offers.
"Miaka was quite upset with keisuke, but she didn't realize it wasn't
Shun with me. I should have said something... though I suppose knowing
the truth ahead of time could be best." She's not thrilled with the
 situation, that much is obvious.

Nakago nods.
Nakago says "Yui-sama." He eyes her, looking for something. "There is
something that needs to be spread among the Seiryuu Seishi."

Rosuto tilts his head slightly, further into his palm, and steadies
golden eyes on Yui. "What did she s..." His voice cuts off immediately
in deference to Nakago's, eyes flicking back towards him, blinking
 once.

46.5F (8.1C) The clouds appear to be moving in. Currently, cloudy with the winds remaining steady as it changes direction (was W now WSW).

Yui cants her head, brows lifting, and nods, "Something that brings you
here?" Rosuto's aborted query draws a flicker of attention, a slight
tightening of her lips acknowledging the immediacy of his silence, but
her gaze quickly returns to Nakago. "What is it? You have learned
 something new?"

Nakago says "Hai. The Genbu no Miko tells me that the Zodiac Seishi are
 after the Shinzaho."

Yui blinks, attention rivetted on Nakago now, "Why? Do we know that
 yet?"

Rosuto straightens, his hand now falling to the table lightly, brows
drawn. "Perhaps to interfere with the summoning of our Gods," he
offers, murmuring quietly so as not to interrupt again, leaning back
 slightly into his seat.

Nakago nods at Rosuto's statement.

Yui frowns deeply, glancing between both Rosuto and Nakago, "Is it
possible they would gain the same thing we would from them as well?
Even they may have trouble gaining all that they require."

Nakago says "We know few about the Zodiacs, Yui-sama. I do not know what
they need in order to summon their God."

"They may not even need them at all," says Rosuto quietly, his eyes
shifting between miko and lord, his hand turning so that fingernails
drum absently on the tabletop. "But they could use them to interfere
with the summoning. There could be many reasons."

Yui's hand lifts, settling momentarily at the base of her neck, "Do the
other Seishi know of this? Miaka? If not, we must tell them."

Nakago says "I do not know if they are aware. Perhaps the Genbu no Miko
 informed them already."

Rosuto nods in response to both, staying quiet save for the faint
tap-tap-tap of his fingernails on the tabletop.

Yui nods, dropping her hand to the table, "A second warning cannot go
wrong in this matter, I think. As for their getting their hands on the
Shinzaho, we must make certain we know where they are. Although..."
Pausing to frown again, she shakes her head. "I wish Miaka had not left
 so quickly."

[Nakago's player had to head out, it was getting late. Yui and I
 continued on.]

Yui watches Nakago's departure, brows furrowed as a hint of agitation
flickers over her features. She'll wrinkle at an early age that way.
 Horror. "This is not good."

Rosuto's eyes linger a moment or two after Nakago, probably longer than
they should, before they return to the Miko, studying her face as if to
memorize every aspect of it, their amber depths effecting dry
amusement. "It was never any good," he offers wryly. "Though, perhaps
this way we'll figure out an inkling as to what they're after."

Yui nods, "Hai, though there is one problem. Unless..." Picking her
headup, she narrows her eyes in consideration of the problem. "Do any
of you have the Shinzaho in your possession?" Her voice is low, but
sharp to hide the worry behind her words.

Rosuto blinks once, then twice, as he considers the girl, the faintest
of wrinkles beginning to line his brow. "I... don't know," he confesses
after a moment, head tilting to the side. "Gomen, Yui-sama. But... I
 don't believe so?"

Yui's frowns deepens, irritation sparking in her eyes, "Then we may have
a problem. A rather serious one." She ventures another glance toward
the door, "I will ask around, to be certain, but one thing I do know,
and that is that I don't have it either."

"Shimatta." The swear is breathed more than spoken, escaping Rosuto's
lips as easily as if he had simply sighed. His expression tightens,
smooth features lining with a frown, his hands coming together so that
the fingers interlace. "Perhaps... Perhaps Nakago-sama has it, or the
Suzaku no Miko. Her brother had the book for a while..." But doubt
underlines his tone. For Tomo at least, thoughts of the Shinzaho hadn't
 even arisen until now.

"We can hope, Tomo-san," Yui admits quietly, though even she lacks a
certainty to her tone. "The question that remains though, is what to do
if they do not know. We will have to find it before they do, of that
 there is no doubt."

Rosuto nods once, his response swift: "Hai, Yui-sama." But the rest
comes after a moment or two's thought, his interlaced fingers coming up
to touch his chin, supporting it half-heartedly. "If they haven't
gotten their hands on it already."

Yui flinches, the thought no doubt wreaking havoc with the worry already
settled in her mind of late. "I must speak with Jack, then. He claims
the woman Alex as pack; perhaps he could find that out for us if
 asked."

"Jack? Who... oh, right, Ashitare." Rosuto offers a wan smile. "I have
yet to meet him face-to-face, you see... though I've seen him a couple
of times." He pauses, thinking. "Alex... I think I've met that one. She
did seem to take a liking towards the mutt, and Hato-san seems to be
 friends with her."

Yui arches a brow, "He claims her as pack, over the Seiryuu, though Taka
and he both speak for her. I asked Jac... Ashitare, to arrange a
meeting if he could." A thought goes skittering through her mind, and
the evidence shows in the contemplative look which acompanies it.
"Tomo-san, you say you have yet to meet him face to face? Will you take
 up a task for me?"

Rosuto's chin dips slightly in a nod, hands dropping to fold against the
tabletop. Curiosity pricked, his amber eyes seem to glitter with it.
 "Hai?"

Yui pauses, the stretch of silence suggesting carefully chosen words,
"Watch him. When he meets with Alex, especially if he is willing to ask
her about the Shinzaho. You excel at going unseen when you wish it, and
I would value a second source of information."

His eyes widen slightly, but resume their normal widths a moment later,
aflicker with bemusement. "Hai, Yui-sama," Rosuto replies mildly, then
lets his lips curl into a faint smirk, looking pleased. He's only been
called upon to use his abilities a few times, and they had been almost
always been for his amusement instead of business. It's a little
disappointing, so one can imagine why his expression seems to light up
a bit. "It would be my pleasure."

Yui's lips quirk upward in an approving smile, "Excellent. My one
request in this is that what information you find you bring directly to
Nakago-san and myself, no one else. I will speak with Nakago-san myself
so that he knows. I trust youto keep Ashitare unaware of your presence,
but if he does discover you, get clear of him. I will take the blame.
We need you working well together when the time comes. I may be easier
to forgive than another of the Seishi."

"Hai. Of course." Rosuto chuckles softly, a dry, bone-rattling sound,
but quiet and brief. He fingers a long strand of gray-black hair
absently. "Though in all honesty, Yui-sama, my ... relations with
the other seishi are already strained. Forgiveness, I doubt, is an
option when I am involved." Yet he shrugs nonchalantly, as if the fact
doesn't bother him. "However... I don't plan to be discovered. Do you
know if this Alex can sense chi?"

50.4F (10.2C) The clouds appear to be clearing. Currently, partially
cloudy with the winds remaining steady as it changes direction (was SW
 now S).

Yui shakes her head, "Honestly? I don't know. I suppose we should be
certain of that beforehand, to be safest." Shaking her head, she leans
back in her seat, arms folding loosely over her chest, "We know too
little overall, and I believe they know too much of us. Then again,
anything is too much there. Perhaps we can use this tension between you
and the other Seishi for our cause, though. You might be the last they
would consider to take an interest in what they do."

"Or the first," the illusionist offers wanly, but he shakes his head in
agreement. "It's hard to find out anything about them... we have little
resources regarding them, yet from what I've heard, the opposite may as
well be true for them." Rosuto's lips purse. "But... I will keep an eye
on Ashitare, whether or not the girl can sense me. I'll ask Hato-san,
or someone else..." Tired sarcasm touches the mildness of his tone.
"Someone is bound to know the extent of the girl's abilities."

Yui snorts, looking mildly irritated at that, "For all the coziness the
Seishi have developed with her, I wouldn't doubt it. Ashitare, Taka. I
hear certain Suzaku have been openly consorting with Zodiac Seishi as
well, and whether it's true or not, it's disturbing. This Alex may
prove useful if ... and I mean /if/ she is truly trustworthy, but she
is loyal to her God. The others worry me even more. It could be a ploy,
a means by which to gain a foothold within our ranks. I don't like it,
 not a bit."

Something seems to click, and surprise ripples across Rosuto's face, his
eyebrows slowly arching. Yet his voice remains low, mild, always with
that quality of private amusement that lightens his voice in some ways
and darkens it in others. "I warned some of that before... but many
seem too concerned that they are innocents being manipulated. This is
all well and good in itself, but it breeds paranoia.. Everyone wants to
possess that higher morality, a bleeding heart." Scornful? Bet your ass
he is. A snort is emitted to punctuate his words.

"Hai, a kind heart is one thing, but prying open your armor to reveal
the weak points for your enemy's seeking eyes is another entirely, and
we are quickly treading that road," Yui comments in a sharp, if
quietly so, tone. "This Qing-hu for instance, has gained control of
Ashitare once already. Who is to say that it will not be easier the
next time, or that he will not try it on the rest of us. Perhaps we
should have let Ashitare destroy him when he had the chance. Had we
worked together that night, we could have rid ourselves of three of
their numbers." She lifts her gaze, lips turned down in a frown, "But
we didn't. Our sympathies and soft hearts will get us all killed
someday." Again, in some many cases. "I won't have it. Not again."

"Soi fancies herself a leader in Nakago-sama's stead," Rosuto cuts
dryly. "She has him wrapped around her finger, and when she can't do
the same with other seishi, she pitches a fit." He's just a little
bitter. But it might be wondered how he knows the specifics of the
incident the Miko refers to. He wasn't present there, was he? As for
the latter comment, his lips merely form the thinnest of smiles, his
 chin dipping in a nod.

"Self-preservation may be the key now, for the fact that they would be
saving the world from the ravages of Chaos' revenge does not seem to be
working," Yui continues, a chord apparently struck in her. "I think for
now we must concentrate on learning where Ashitare's truer loyalties
lie, and though I feel he is closer to us than some may think, there
are doubts, and on finding the Seiryuu Shinzaho. For that, we will need
everyone, be it in plain sight or not." She shoots a wry look across
the table, one brow lifting, "Even if you cannot see your backup, the
idea that it may very well be there can improve morale greatly. I look
to you for that, and the element of surprise. As for Ayame-san, she has
the power, but she would be stronger if she and Nakago-san would work
together. We need the Shogun back, but we need his as powerful as we
 can have him."

Rosuto looks far from pleased with that last comment, but he
acknowledges it without dry wit or comment. He agrees -- Nakago-sama is
needed, his current state is too unstable -- but he rather wishes that
Soi didn't have to be involved. Sigh. "Hai..." An idle glance around
the Parlor to make sure no one is eavesdropping chances his gaze across
a clock. There it stays, seizing his attention, until he looks back,
irritation crossing his face. "Saa... gomen ne, Yui-sama, but I need to
get back to the theatre. It's my night to close up again."

Yui nods, lifting a hand in acknowledgement of the necessity, "Hai, go
Tomo-san. I think I may head out to the park again, but don't let the
others know you saw me beforehand or they'll have fits." Winking, she
pushes her chair back, "Besides, it wouldn't hurt for them to never
know of most of what we discussed anyway. So much the better for the
plans we have to make just now."

Rosuto's lips quirk faintly, but hesitantly. "As you say... ne, take
care, Yui-sama." He pauses, then smirks, rising to his feet as he nods.
"Again, as you say... so much the better." He bows formally before he
exits, golden eyes half-lidded, oblivious to any odd stares such
formality gets in the middle of an ice-cream parlor, then turns towards
the door, hand lifted to wave absently. "Oyasuminasai, Yui-sama."

50.4F (10.2C) The clouds appear to be clearing. Currently, clear with
the winds remaining steady as it changes direction (was S now SW).

"Take care, and keep in touch," Yui offers conversationally with a
respectful incline of her head. "I will see you soon, I'm sure."
Pushing her chair back another few inches, she takes to her feet,
moving off to pay for the night's snacking, sparse as it was on her
end, her expression suggesting she's already getting lost in
 contemplation once again.

You take the stairs back out to the street.
