 attacked by the naysayers
 designed to smash his integrity.

His cult of personality
 grows profoundly as the supporters 
 of his views come forward
 and attack the status quo.

His star fades 
 as his supporters dwindle
 continuing their quest
 in search of a newer, younger ideal.

In dark corners
 on the fringes of reality
 zealots remember Complex Jesus 
 after his brief moment of celebrity.
