From a road trip last summer... We first went to Garvin Heights, Minnesota, and spent a good portion of the night there, then went to Lake Columbia, in Portage Wisconsin. It's a man-made lake, used as some sort of cooling for the coal power plant located nearby. Not to fear though... the water is unpolluted. There's little tiny woodchips across the bottom, which send up delightful bubbles every time you step. The water is usually wonderfully warm... like a huge bath. From what I've heard, people go swimming there in the winter. Then, from there we went to Devil's Lake, located about an hour, hour-and-a-half away. Both of these pictures were taken there. the top picture is, left to right: the father of my child, then Massa-Jim & Merrie (who I've heard are married now, and who, incidentally, were at my apartment the night I went in to labor), then above them, Ted (the bellhop), and above Ted (the bellhop) is Otis. The picture below is of Ted (the bellhop), holding his walking stick, with a gorgeous spread of Devil's Lake below him.
Another picture of the Sheboygan trip, with Mercury sticking his head out the car window at 75 mph.
Allegory, one of my bestest friends in the whole wide world. She now lives in Arizona.
Allegory and Quibble, one of my former roomates. An utterly fabulous pic of the both of them.
Taken at the Quad/Graphics (where I used to be employed) Mardi Gras party this past March. Kari, (the girl) is with one of my ex-co-workers, Robbie-Robb. (the guy in the spiffy jacket). Isn't that a spiffy jacket? It was definately the coolest jacket there.
New Year's Eve, at the rave at the Rave (a rave at a place called the Rave, in downtown Milwaukee. Got it?) 1997/1998. My friend Kelpie with a boy (Adam) that she met there. Don't they look damned cute?
