joao paulo silva: samba sem fim samba sem fim ("endless samba") is a beautifully evolving melody which comes after a prelude sung by the bass and merges into a nice alto saxophone solo. its cycling and endless character reminds me of the folk tales told and sung by street singers in the brasilian nordeste, those tender and enchanting tales that should be passed on from mouth to ear, from father to son, from generation to generation... wonderful. |
