Happy Birthday Eric! May You have fifty more years as
President of the
Class '65 Alumni Association. It would be nice to celebrate
some of those
50 birthdays on the cruise ship, MS Tricia or MR Eric
(hint, hint,
hint)!!!

eater,
drinker, hopefully dancer and and even more hopefully
singer)

Happy Birthday from Northampton, Massachusetts! You're
lucky to be celebrating
in the midst of family and very good friends. Accept
our sincerest, warmest
greetings for a wonderful 50th birthday ! May you have
many more.
Del (San Juan) , Ron, Dan and Liza Blank
Happy Birthday, Eric! Isn't it incredible that our
Prep ' 65 now has to check
off this age bracket :-) ? But thanks to the generosity
of time, effort and,
above all, heart of classmates like you and Ana B., chronological
age is
really irrelevant to our inimitably forever young class!
We are all rich in
ways that others can only dream about.
May God continue to bountifully bless you, your family,
and all the good work
that you do--especially for our unbreakable circle of
friends--through the
next 50 years, at least!!
All the best and warm regards from Ned, Nina and myself,
Rory
Toast to you, Eric
(From your UP Prep. Barkada)
This is to greet Eric - from all of us -
Who for fifty years in this world has last,
Let the celebration go at full blast
As he parties with his Prepian class.
Let’s play his new song, Hawaii 5-0,
Happy half centennial our greetings go;
Five times ten candles on his cake he’ll blow
It’ll make him turn blue and take out his glow.
His guests will surely be a motley group
From as far as L.A. will come the troop;
As usual, the talk will go in a loop
Reminisce the good old days with the soup.
Girls will come all dressed up, much make-up used
"Amoy lupa" image to disabuse,
The boys will guess "usapang lasing" clues
Laughing loudly as they drown in free booze.
We’ll share experience about menopause
Osteoporosis and hot flashes caused;
It’s hard to butt in, break unending clause
Dancing and singing to provide the pause.
We’ll salute Eric for the qualities
To what he owes his popularity
Foremost of these is generosity
Hosting reunions from his own kitty.
The celebrant is such a lucky guy
Has everything money can and can’t buy
To what formula does his success lie?
Loving parents, three kids, own ships to ply
Wife Nini, blessed with beauty multiplied
But most of all, God as his top ally.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY as you reach golden age
Fifty years have turned you into a sage
Hugs and kisses, Eric, on your passage
Much more of the same for you, we presage.

Dear Eric,
Here's wishing
you a very happy birthday on this your 50th year.
Golden wishes for a golden boy! As sparkling and as shiny
as gold is, that
is what your 50 years in this world has been and we are
blessed to have been
a part of this beautiful life. The four happy years that
each of our
classmates shared in high school was just the start of
a lasting and
beautiful friendship. I sincerely hope we (UP Prep '65)
can enjoy another 30
years of fellowship and friendship.
What more
can I wish for you. You have everything - a devoted wife,
loving children, supportive parents, sincere friends,
a good business and
plenteous blessings from the Lord. I pray that you continue
to receive all
these and more, that God grant you peace and joy all
your life through.
A Blessed
and Fruitful birthday, Eric!
Love,
Girlie

Something About Eric
What can I say about Eric? Eric has been the
same since were were in high
school. He is easy to get along with, thoughtful,
considerate and ever a
gentleman. Actually, in our barkada of 11, there
were only two boys,
Franklin and Eric. So from that time up to now,
we have an officer and a
gentleman in our group.
Eric is like a brother to all of us. We shared
jokes, problems, food,
except clothes. Can you imagine Eric wearing Wilma's
stretch banlon jeans
or Girlie's carrot colored skirt? Because he was
a star basketball player
in their town (or is it barrio kasi may punto ang mga
tao roon, tulad ni
Eric), we were always invited to watch. Pati nga
sa mga moro-moro plays ni
Nini, dinadala kami ni Eric. One time we went to
his house in Paranaque.
There, he showed us their beautiful home. One thing
I'll never forget was
a small, neat, spare bedroom. When he showed it
to us, he said nobody uses
it and it has, I think its own door leading outside.
Kaya daw kung may
magtatanan sa amin (meaning us girls), pwede kaming tumakbo
sa kanya. What
an offer! Libre hotel. Fortunately, wala
namang nag-elope. Lahat gustong
lumakad sa simbahan at pagastusin ang napangasawa.
From high school, we went to UP College in Diliman.
Eric and I were
blockmates during our freshman year, taking up pre-BSBA.
Wow, marami na
kaming ka-klaseng kolehiyala. Pinagpalit ako ni Eric
sa mga Tag-lish
speaking girls. Popular siya sa class. Ladies'
man. Ewan ko lang kung
alam ito ni Nini. Pero siempre, pareho naming first
time na mag-Spanish.
Doon pareho kaming nahirapan. Magkadamay na naman
kami sa hirap.
Hindi talaga kami magkahiwalay ni Eric. On
my first job, fresh rom UP
BSBA, nagkasama na naman kami sa Merchants Bank of the
Philippines located
on Mabini St. corner Padre Faura. Hindi rin kami
lumayo sa alma mater.
Eric was a very serious, industrious, responsible and
model employee. Lagi
pang naka-kurbata. Noon palang feeling na..Mas lakwatsera
pa nga kami nina
Alice Angeles and Carmen Borra. Lunch breack lang,
nagsisini pa kami. But
Eric, wow, he was always present and working at his desk.
Then he left the
bank and joined his father... The rest speaks for itself
why we can now
have a party at the penthouse of Marc Building.
I can believe very well all the tributes given to
you by relatives and
friends on your golden birthday. You are truly
everything they say and
more. Nini and your children are very lucky to
have you as a loving and
devoted husband and father to them. I am sure you feel
very fulfilled
because you have always made Jesus the center of your
life, so much so,
that your path has always been guided by Him.
Happy, Happy Golden Birthday, Eric. Welcome
to the Club. Take care
always and may you have many more to come.
Love always from your friend,
Ruth R.
