Acted in several community theatre plays with both Theatre Cambrian and Shoestring Theatre, including: West Side Story, Dangerous Liasons, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, and Macbeth with Theatre Cambrian; The Real Inspector Hound and The Problem Solver with Shoestring Theatre. Sat on Theatre Cambrian's Board of Directors. Worked on two archaeological digs. Got a cat. Volunteered at Norther Lights Festival. Got another cat. Worked in the Sudbury Fringe Festival. Wrote and developed several articles for on-line gaming site. Spent two months travelling through the United States and Canada.
1996 - 1999
Assisted in the founding of 'Big Sal's Discount Thespian Emporium' Theatre Company. Sang backing vocals for 'The Smokers', a retro-classic ska band. Assisted with the forming and management of Sudbury by Night, a LARP group in Sudbury. Became a representative for Five Rings Publishing. Moved to Toronto. Became a member of Excited Mental State, a Rocky Horror Picture Show cast that plays at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto. Moved back to Sudbury. Performed in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert' with Theatre Cambrian. Began working heavily on creative and HTML skills as designer for Sudbury by Night: Sanguinoch, as well as taking over duties as Storyteller.
Current Goals : Beginning work on an MA in Humanities. Getting my work published. Traveling across both North America and Europe. Broadening my horizons. Learining to speak three new languages.
Computer : Internet literate; familiarity with HTML, CorelDraw, Corel WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Lotus, JASC Paint Shop Pro, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe PageMaker, Netscape Communicator, Windows 95, DOS, numerous others.
Personal Notes: I have the capacity to learn quickly, the creative ability to solve difficult problems, and a personal drive for perfection in my work. Because of my years in theatre I've developed excellent inter-personal skills, an ability to work well under pressure (as well as the ability to handle almost any crisis as it comes), and the ability to read a situation as I come into it.
