Chapter Two
His tongue was so cold. It was like sucking on ice. Ice that moved. Aggressively.
His hand was cold, too. Like ice. That moved...once again, aggressively.
Maybe a little too aggressively?
"No!" It was more like a moan than a shout. After all, it was pretty hard to shout in the middle of a kiss that she was actively participating in. She raked her nails across his cheek, not drawing blood, but getting his attention.
Angelus pulled back and looked down at her angrily. His demon flickered across his face for a moment and Katheryn gasped. Then he smirked and let her go.
She leaned heavily against the wall and adjusted her skirt. "No," she repeated, in a softer tone. "You may be able to kill me, but you'll never rape me."
"Who said it was going to be rape?" Angelus smirked again as she shot him a black look. "Or was I hallucinating when you returned my kiss?"
Katheryn arched an eyebrow and glanced down. "Well, yeah. It was...different. You're...cold." She sighed when he chuckled. "It's not funny. We're talking about my life here, Angelus. I'm not a normal meal for you, unless you always take them out for coffee first. And you are definitely not how I planned to exit this world. I don't want to die, but there doesn't really seem to be much I can do about that. But there is no way in Heaven or Hell that I'll let you use me first. You try it and I'll make you kill me before you get my clothes off. After that, what the fuck do I care? If you're into necrophilia, that's your deficiency."
She glanced up in time to see his look of distaste. "Oh, but you want it," he murmured, stepping closer. He pressed his body against her, letting her feel how much he wanted her. "You like it, don't you? That I'm a soulless Demon." He studied her, bringing her face up with a finger under her chin. "You know, you'd probably like it when I bite you. It would probably make you come...."
Katheryn's head twisted away from him with something very much like a hiss. "Stop it. Kill me."
Angelus looked down at her. With the way her head was angled, her throat was bare to him. He could see her pulse. Smell her blood. But he could also smell her arousal.
And not a hint of fear.
Damn. She's got me curious, he thought. He traced a finger down the collumn of her neck and stopped at the base. She doesn't want to die. She wants me. But she resists me.
He backed away from her and pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket. He almost never smoked. But he wanted something to do with his hands. Otherwise, he'd kill her before he got his questions answered.
"So, Katheryn," he murmured casually, taking a few steps away, "what's the deal with you and Gary?"
She blinked and stared at him for a moment. "What?" she asked softly.
"You and Gary. What sort of relationship did you have?"
She looked around the porch as if there were something there to help her, then looked back at him and frowned. "Where is this going?"
Angelus took a hit off his cigarette and smiled at her slowly. "Just getting to know you, Katheryn. Something wrong with that?"
"Yes something's wrong with that!" Katheryn tossed her hair over her shoulder and glared at him, crossing her arms. "You're a Vampire. Kill me, damn it!"
Angelus laughed. She caught her breath and flushed. God, I want him. I don't care, I don't care, I don't care. I. Don't. Care.
He's wicked.
He's gorgeous.
He's evil.
He's a god.
Is that all you care about? What he looks like?
No, but it sure as hell helps that he's a hottie.
"Katheryn...." he sing-songed. She looked at him. "Gary. And you. Tell me."
"Um. Well. We went out."
"I know that, Katheryn." Angelus smirked at her. "What kind of relationship did you two have? Warm and cozy? Passionate? What?"
"Oh...I guess you could say passionate. Obsessive, maybe. Jealous, most definitely." Katheryn sighed. "Why do you want to know this?"
Angelus threw his half-finished cigarette off the porch and approached her again. She held her ground, not even flinching when he grabbed her shoulders. But he was gentle. He waited until she looked up at him and he sighed. "Katheryn, I'm going to be honest with you. You've got me curious. I want to see what makes your mind work." He chuckled. "Then we'll discuss how I'll kill you."
Katheryn scowled at him, then moved over to the comfortable chairs set out at the end of the porch. She sat down and waited until he sat in the one opposite her. She looked out at the lawn and then glanced back at him and began to tell her story.
