Millenium: Born to Hate
when we come we always come too late
i often think that we were born to hate
get up and see the sarcasm in my eyes
She hated this town. She hated this house. But more importantly she hated the people in it. Faith sucked in a ragged breath; she still had trouble breathing from her stint in the hospital which, if one looked at it, was Buffy fault. She felt rage begin to burn through her body has she thought about every one in that house and how they'd mistreated her.
Xander had used her for sex, a toy and nothing more. Willow had never liked her and constantly snubbed her. Cordelia was just a bitch. Giles always told her she was less than Buffy and would never be equal to or better than her Slayer twinkie, and then there was Buffy.
Faith growled low in her throat as she thought about the list of wrongs done by Buffy. Someday, she'd get revenge, someday when she had her strength back.
"The stars are celebrating," a sing-song voice commented, "The moon is dancing." A dark-haired lady wearing a dark red velvet dress stepped from the shadows. Faith's Slayer sense went off, telling her the woman in front of her was a vampire.
"What do you want?"
"I'm a princess," the woman commented staring up at the sky. "And a princess always gets what she wants."
"That's nice. Now," she pulled a stake out from behind her back, "How would ya like to go? Quick and painless or slow and painful?"
"I like pain," the woman replied, staring at Faith with clear eyes. "My Angel always made me hurt in the most delightful places."
"Your Angel? You mean B's pussy-whipped lapdog?" She shrugged. "I knew he wasn't just fakin' with the whole BDSM thing."
"She took my Angel, and now she's taking my Spike," the woman commented, turning to the large window that looked into Buffy's kitchen. Faith followed the vampire's gaze to see Buffy arguing with a blonde man; something inside Faith told her that he was also a vampire.
"B always had a thing for the undead," Faith shrugged; the woman whined softly as she watched the man follow Buffy out of the room. Faith warily watched the woman as she clutched her head and shuddered.
"No! Princess doesn't want to be alone. I won't abide it!" she wailed, bloody tears running down her face. Suddenly her head cocked, and a smile crossed the vampire's features. "Princess won't be alone." She turned her face completely to Faith and whispered softly, "Be in me, dearie."
Somewhere from the front of the house, the Times Square countdown began.
*10!*
Faith felt warmth spread through her body as she met the woman's eyes.
*9!*
"The stars told me about you.
*8!*
"You'll be mine forever.
*7!*
"Princess will never be alone again."
*6!*
With that the woman clasped Faith's face with her hands and pulled her to her in a soft kiss full of teeth as the vampire bit down on Faith's lip.
*5!*
"Bitch!" Faith screamed as blood pooled in her mouth and the vampire's control was broken.
*4!*
"Tastes like strawberries."
*3!*
The woman captured Faith's gaze again and the warmth returned.
*2!*
"Mine," the woman growled as her demon surged forward. She licked the side of Faith's neck hungrily.
*1!*
With a happy sigh, she plunged her fangs into Faith's neck and drank greedily.
* Happy New Year! *
Faith moaned in pleasure as she felt her blood being drawn out of her body. She slumped forward as her heart began to slow, then a new taste filled her mouth. The coppery scent of borrowed blood filled her nostrils as the woman placed her cut wrist over Faith's mouth.
"My Slayer," the woman cooed softly as Faith gulped down blood. Finally, the woman pushed Faith's mouth away from her wrist, and she watched as the Slayers eyes closed in death. The woman smoothed back her hair and touched her rapidly cooling skin. "Don't fret, kitten," the woman soothed, staring up at the house. "Mummy's here."
