--My nose dribbles--
Darkness lifting, thickens
with the rising sun Brown sky, orange sun,
trouble breathing air
that is visible. Bringing tears
from my eyes.
My nose dribbles trying
to save sinus passages
filled with brown air.
Cough up bits of blood
to much carbon monoxide
eats me alive.
Still summer air silent except for cars --
poison and heat waft through every crack
young, old disabled start to die.
With mask and goggles worn, I
run place to place
to save so few,
so few.
