She's on her knees, a cloth in hand
With her tears she scrubs the floor
She know this life is not what she had planned
She'd wanted so much more
She doesn't know when she stopped smiling
There are no laugh lines on her face
She wonders when she will stop caring
Or if she stopped and didn't notice
Chorus
She wonders what it's like in heaven
If God forgives and if He'd care
She wonders if she'd still be welcomed
If she chose how and when to go there
From her eyes a steady stream of tears
Are falling to the ground
She wonders how she came to be so lost
And if she will be found
She glances at the clock
Glances back and then forgets
Aimlessly she starts to walk
Along the cluttered, stained carpet
She doesn't notice that her feet are bare
As she steps out into the snow
The car keys jingle in the cold night air
Her destination, she doesn't know
Chorus
Bridge
She's driving with the windows down
Through the chill of mid-December
She feels like the festive Christmas lights
Have been put up just to mock her
The years that have gone before
Are void of memories
The bare road that seems to promise more
Is the only thing she sees
Chorus
