My name is Edward P. Almazan and I'm a student at Old Dominion University studying photography and marketing. This homepage is the main project for my class taught by the Dr. T who has a great marketing homepage herself. I've been doing photography for eight years and fell in love with the medium after my first class. I took classes at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, VA and at the Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, VA. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a photo class at the Visual Arts Center even if you are just a hobbyist. Their darkroom is nicer than some the four year schools I've attended. I have lived in Virginia Beach most of my life and plan on moving to either Miami or San Diego to get into the commercial field. I will keep doing more fine art work, but until I break into the big time I'm definitely going to keep my day job working at the ArtWorks Gallery on Bute St. near Downtown Norfolk, VA. In the summer, I become a beach bum riding any little ripples that come to the area. I've been bodyboarding for ten years, and I ride mostly dropknee. I'm saving up to get a new camera and water housing to start doing some water shots this summer.
