Himalayas
When I started to make this painting, I wanted to paint a snow landscape. I started to make a sky. I let the sky dry because I didn't know exactly how to continue. A few weeks later, I decided to make a mountain as background and a snow landscape in front of it. When I started the mountain, I got carried away and suddenly, the whole canvas was a mountain. I decided to keep it this way because I thought it was all right. The last thing I wanted to add to the painting, was a large tree in front of it to have more depth in the painting. Because I liked the mountain so much, I didn't want to cover it with a big tree. That's why I chose to make a small tall tree. Now, I think this tree is better that a large tree because this tall lonely tree, emphasizes the breathtaking effect that an enormous mountain of the Himalayas has on people.
