Somewhere, above the mile high city,
ashes fell to earth
and replenished the soil
with the charred remains of a man
who so elequently spoke for us,
the protectors of his legacy.

"Rocky Mountain High" memories
echo within my silent cries
as a mourning white moon in fullness
lays atop the highest peak,
as quietly peaceful
as it's predecessor was goldenly romantic.

I hope for the man
who enriched us in tones of earthly wisdom
that the mountain blankets him in white peace,
and that through the movement of time
his words will continue
to cover us in his soliloquies that both adorned
man's soul and praised nature's blessings.
