From my childhood
I remember the stars
Glimmering in the sky

No streetlights from the city
Competed with their brightness
Glimmering in the sky

Are they still there? I asked myself
I had to see them again
Glimmering in the sky

One dark night at my cottage, there they were
Thousands and thousands of stars from my childhood
Glimmering in the sky
