Elusive

A poem by

I search for my girl, but she always eludes me
She’s drifting through time at the speed of light
I’m wondering now if I ever will find her
I hope that she knows that I need her tonight.

Trying to connect, but I'm not making contact
I must find her soon, but I'm uncertain how?
I’m asking you please, tell me where is my lover
Doesn’t she know that I need her right now?

Her hair is like satin, her smile gives off heat
Electricity flows from her body to mine
I love her so much that it hurts me to see her
Where is she now, will she give me a sign?
