Escape

 "Hasta Manana" ~ ABBA

The darkness which was my life,
Where i groped for light,
Amongst faces unknown and the herd of citylife,
I felt that i could no longer wait,
For my escape.

I flew far away on the wings of imagination
To my destination,
And soon i was viewing that heavenly sight,
There was no limit to my delight,
When i saw the green fields of the land of my dreams.

The sight of the cool lake
Was what i needed to console
My thirsty soul,
The butterflies, bright blue and yellow,
Gave me more happiness than i could swallow.

My ears caught the sound of the humming bee,
And they were the sweetest words for me;
All around me
Was calmness and serenity.

I wish i could stay here forever,
This place, i will always remember,
Locked in my heart and in my mind,
A place which only i can find.
