In a Moment

A Poem by

In A Moment Of Passion
I Gave You My Heart,
In A Moment Of Weariness
I Let You Into My Heart
In A Moment Of Blindness
I Thought You Were Mine,
Only To Find That Like The Air That We Breathe
You Belong To No One
Nor Are You With Anyone
For Any Length Of Time Or Space.

In A Moment Of Passion,
I Deceived Myself And Thought That If I Held
My Breath Long Enough
I Could Actually Hold You And Keep You.

In A Moment Of Anger
I Let You Go,
Only To Realize That Now Without I Can Breathe,
I Can Breathe Again,
Yes Breathing Is Not Living Only Existing
I Exist And Breathe,
Yes, I Go On Breathing And Existing Without You!

In A Moment Of Desperation
I Almost Took You Back
But Realized Too Late How,
To Breathe Your Air Was Not Only Intoxicating, But
Taking Away My Very Existence.
