the famous Parade of Jesi:
5 out of a possible 30 or so

1.

blue robes, gold mask, white christ

The Christ from Play #23
(Poculi Ludique Societas; U of T):

My first Christ. The colours were dazzling, although I arrived too late to figure out what was going on.

2.

crucified christ

The Christ from Play #35
(Sacred Stone Players; N.C.):

It took four soft-spoken southerners to raise this Christ upright, but I think it was worth it.

3.

our scott

The Christ from Play #36
(Dept. of Mathematics; U of T):

Our Scott, clad only in a loin cloth. You can't tell, but he's saying, "Woman. Cease thy lamentations." No, really.

4.

dragon slayer

The Christ from Play #37
(Department of English; West Virginia):

This one had to keep shouting to keep from being upstaged by the Merry Widow-clad Devils trying to keep him in Hell. But overall, he was a Christ who knew how to kick some ass. And really, what more do you want in a Messiah?

5.

and did these feet...

The Christ from Play #39
(Department of Drama; Birmingham (UK)):

I have never seen a better example of the flaxon-haired, ruddy-cheeked Saxon lad that William Blake mocked in Jerusalem. He looked like the kind of God who'd heal a few lepers, wolf down a dinner of bangers n' mash, and then out for a quick round of football with the lads. Wonderful accent, too. Pip pip!
