Bearded Dragons

These are by far the most conventional pets I own, and the only vertebrates. They make pretty good, relatively undemanding pets. They're more docile than most lizards, and have no problem just hanging out. They get their name from their ability to inflate the skin under tier chins to scare off predators. They've only done it to me once, but since then they've been pretty hard to scare.

I came into owning lizards after a fiend of a friend came found themselves with an unexpected clutch of eggs. Normally, pet stores sell them for $80+.

Shiena

The bigger draggon, named for the chick who got me the lizards. She was rather ambivalent about that honor... This one does pretty much nothing but eat and lay around. It's currently about 11 inches long, but half of that is tail.

Ladon

This one isn't as big (9"), but used much more active. This little bastard had escaped quite a few times, much to my annoyance. Then he refused to eat for a few months, and even lost the use of his back legs. I thought he was a goner until my girlfriend began force-feeding him and pretty much saved his life. He still doens't eat much comparted to Shiena, but at least he's alive.
