Hey! You! Who are you? Oh yeah? Really? Can you PROVE it??
One of the most sinister, as well as degrading, elements of 20th Century life is the imposition of identity requirements. Everywhere you go these days, people want to know everything about you. Once fairly limited to government agencies (which had a "need" to know such things) this evil habit has spread to all corners of our culture, such that now almost everyone wants to collect all manner of pesonal stuff on you - oh, sorry, "needs" to collect (silly me!).
In the twilight of the bloodiest and most rapaciously evil century in History, we find ourselves being carded and numbered like slaves, not for any grand National Purpose or even for a Good Cause, but simply for the merest CONVENIENCE of our oppressors. Is this okay with you? Amazingly. it is perfectly acceptable to lots of people - many of whom, even more astoundingly, call themselves "patriots" and think it's "necessary" for "law-abiding citizens" to accept such rot. Well, I say it's time to FIGHT BACK.
Hence this page.
Here you will find a smorgasbord of resources for the Identity Resistor. Very little of what's here consists of alarmist caterwauling or mutual support groups. There is some of that, but really, that's all just the blatting of sheep, isn't it? Those folks wouldn't be crying if they hadn't already resigned themselves to the (not really) inevitable. While they are good for inforamtion and moral support, they really don't help you Fight The Power.
No, most of my links here connect to companies involved in making identity documents, or the machines for making those documents. The properly armed Identity Resistor should have a full magazine of identity documents and documet-making machines, in order to ACTIVELY FIGHT the Numbering Beast. Alarmist webpages and Letters To the Editor are useless in Identity Resistance; you don't beat a bully by crying when he hits you. Instead, you HIT BACK.
NOTE TO RESISTANCE GROUPS: I don't mean to insult you, but you're really taking the wrong tack. Simply refusing to carry ID cards will get you nowhere but prison. Rather, you must beat the Tyrant at his own game. You patriot and milita folks like to pitch in together, to pool your resources: why don't you take up a collection and buy some of these machines?
False papers saved a lot of Jews and Gypsies in Fascist Europe; they might just save YOU.
And if you're not sure you can fight back, examine The Oath Of The Freedom Fighter for a little encouragement.
Keys To Obtaining Your Florida Driver's License Or Identification Card is very polite and helpful (unless you don't want to play the game, of course). I wonder, though, why they call it YOUR Driver's License Or Identification Card, when all such documents clearly state they are the property of .. well, the State. Just like you.
From Ramstein AFB, here are the USAF's Most Commonly Asked ID Card Questions. Man, the military must REALLY be picky about procedure - they can't even say "frequently asked." It just goes to show ya, there are 3 ways to do anything - the Right Way, the Wrong Way and the MILITARY WAY.
The WINDS presents one of many articles on why you WILL be required to carry a National ID Card, and soon. They wisely anticipate the Feds ripping off Karl Malden with the phrase National ID Card - Don't Leave Home Without It!. (How much do you wanna bet even American Express won't get any royalties?)
This article merely confirms that The National ID Card Is Now Federal Law.
Cyndee Parker reports on National ID Card "Progress" In Georgia.
You think your Driver's License "entitles" you to drive any motor vehicle anywhere in the United States? THINK AGAIN.
Of course this is probably a good idea - these folks are well known for being Spaced Out.
James & Norwood's Turning A Private-Label Bank Card Into A Multi-Function Campus ID Card is not what I wish it was, a tutorial on faking your own ID. It is very interesting however, as it provides a look into the minds of those who think everyone having a single, universal identity card is "cool."
This letter from Dr. Allen Church on the United States Central Services Administration's Smart Digital ID Card tells how the Tyrant is labelling and indexing its own servants. It also reassures us that being on the "inside" does NOT mean you get out of putting up with this shit.
I am NOT sympathetic!
Orange County Supervisor Of Elections Bill Cowles explains on this page that simply being registered to vote is not good enough there - you also need Your Voter ID Card. Gee, I wonder ... could this have anything to do with California's stupid- ass BMV registering MEXICANS to vote (a scheme hatched by Bill Clinton's own Democrap Party)?? Only a retarded babboon would get this card with the intention of using it - after all, when they're doing THIS kind of shit to us, there isn't much point in voting! Still, it IS useful for proving to the cops that you live in Orange County - once you've moved elsewhere, that is.
It just goes to show ya: Government's solution to their own fuck-ups is always ... MORE GOVERNMENT!
Not everyone find the idea of being tagged like an animal abhorrent - some are downright thrilled at the prospect. I don't expect they figure THEY will ever suffer from it - oh no, it could never happen to them! I DO expect they are all insiders in big business and government who, indeed, have every reason to believe such technology will never be used against them personally. No doubt their personal life experience bears this out. If they are wrong, however ... well, by then it will be too late. I for one will not mourn their loss of freedom - and I'll be too busy resisting to mourn ours.
The PC/SC Workgroup is something I'll bet you've never heard of. Of course the ostensible reason is that it's a trade group and doesn't concern you ... right? Well, I found this one inadvertently through another website - is there a reason it's not listed on the search engines? You be the judge. (NOTE: this site provides excellent links to companies involved in making smart cards & accessories)
Smart Card News is a morally-neutral propagamda site for the smart card industry. This site is updated at 12 noon GMT every Monday and Thursday; much of the industry's latest news will be here, so I advise you to do as they urge and check back often.
This site (which appears to be the epicenter) for The Universal ID Card Project provides all the links you need to your virulently zealous would-be masters. Maybe I'm prejudiced, but the fact that this comes from Boston University, an Eastern Establishment institution, seems absolutely unremarkable to me.
Schlumberger's Universe Of Smart Cards is unfortunately not a nightmarish alternate universe - it's our nightmarish real one. This whole website reminds me of Kraftwerk's classic album Computerworld - great music, horrific vision. See also Schlumberger Electronic Transactions, below.

You've met the fascists - now meet the partisans:
The Coalition To Repeal The Fingerprint Law are good people to know.
Ernest Craddock's ID Card Page concerns the UK's new National ID Card, but is also of interest to Americans. I'll bet you didn't know that, even today, Britons DON'T HAVE TO CARRY ID around with them, did you? You just assumed they did, because YOU have to - see what wicked things tyranny causes you to accept as normal?
Jackie Juntti is the Grassroots Granny who started the NoNID Campaign with its distinctive orange ribbons - you can obtain the NoNID logo here. Remember when Clinton demanded Congress give him the power to declare anyone a "terrorist" with the stroke of a pen? Take a good look at Jackie - this fiesty, kind-hearted and highly-principled grandma is just the kind of person he would have sicced his bloody Federal dogs on.
Maureen's Patriotic Resources is an EXCELLENT central resource page for anyone resisting the Tyrant and looking for others doing the same. Do yourself a favor and bookmark this site - it's a lot easier than searching for all this stuff yourself.
Privacy International are my kind of folks - if this organization didn't exist, I'd have to start it myself. I cannot say enough good things about them.
The Social Information Network Group are Koreans opposed to their country's new National ID Card. I believe this evil scourge is just a short few years away from being coordinated Worldwide, and so it is important for us to join forces with foreign groups that share our concerns. I am glad I foind S.I.N.G. and would welcome any other URLs in other countries you'd care to send to me.

Here's the quick and easy way to new ID - don't make it yourself, leave that up to the professionals! (ahem) You will notice that throughout I put the word "fake" in quotes of irony. This is intentional AND correct: read my Essay On "Fake" ID to see why.
The BARCODE HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE ON-LINE SERVER is a GREAT source of all kinds of bar code and magnetic strip stuff - just about anything you'd want, they've got - they even take Visa!
(With a functioning magnetic strip, of course.)
Belvine ID Card Kits are simple and obviously "fake" and will not get you through an airport. Still, you may find some creative way to use them.
The Kingdom Of EnenKio Atoll is a government-in-exile whose national territory is better known to us as Wake Island. Far from being a mere imaginary micronation, they are quite serious and have a legitimate, historical claim to the island. What's important to us, though, is that citizenship is available, with the attendant documents - passport, driver's license, etc. Ask for diplomatic status - the worst they can do is say no.
The Republic Of Lomar also have identity documents available.
The Nova Scotia Prospector's ID Card MUST be obtained by you before you dare prospect in Nova Scotia!! Gee, I didn't know there was anything valuable to be dug up in Nova Scotia, did you? Except this nifty little government-issued identity document. Hey, why not? I wouldn't mind having one.
Novelty ID Cards provide a wide selection of cards which look similar to "real" State ID cards but, of course, aren't. If you choose to lie to someone and say they are, that's your responsibility and your problem. Not to be turned in to a State DMV in exchange for a "real" ID - and I didn't type that. You didn't read it here.
I. Dormagalski's Photo ID makes very real-looking ID cards which imitate actual government IDs. These are US State and Canadian Provincial IDs only - no driver's licenses. This web site says they're "novelty" cards, but if so, you gotta wonder why they're so expensive. As with all identity products, use these at your own risk.
Photo ID Cards is pretty self-explanatory. They have a wide selection, supposedly designed by "Ex-DMV" people. I can testify that the Ohio card looks very much like a "real" Ohio State ID, at least on their webpage - I haven't seen one in person. As with all these products, don't try to pass them in the same state they're supposed to be from. These IDs are pretty sharp, though, so this company is definitely worth a look.
The World Service Authority sounds like some kind of crackpot Orwellian super-UN, but in fact they are a private bunch of (definitely left-wing) idealists who predate the UN. The WSA Passport cannot be used to get through an airport, but it HAS been used to cross borders and enter countries by sea. The deluxe model is highly recommended, and for the expected "price" (a donation) is well worth having.
The Xotic Shop will sell you a Go-Kart Driver's License (really!) that looks amazingly like a "real" Government-issued State Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Not to be altered or modified in any way - especially not to clip off the words "Go-Kart" along the top and pretend it's "real." Definitely not to be used to get into bars, open bank accounts or (GASP!) operate a motor vehicle. You've been warned.
If you do a search on HotBot for "id card" (under "Page title") you will find over 500 references, most of them makers or distributors of ID-making equipment. An enormous number of these are for Fargo Corp., which is either the biggest name in the business or simply the best connected one on the web. Despite the redundancy, I have included many different companies which primarily distribute Fargo products, as well as the company itself. You never know what might be useful, and it's better to have too many links than too few.
Here are links to several companies and at least two Government laboratories which are developing DNA analyzing microchips. These chips are made with thousands of receptors across their surfaces which match parts of the human DNA code. With a sample of your DNA, they can tell everything about your genetic make-up - and YES, that means they can tell who you are.
An article in the November 1998 issue of Popular Science Magazine (pp. 56) claimed these devices work "overnight." Well, as Oak Ridge National Laboratory's press release says, they work a lot faster than that. The PS article is also noteworthy for its complete lack of any hint that this technology can be used for identification purposes. They probably think Social Security Numbers can't be used for identification purposes either.
Argonne National Laboratories - I'll get a more specific link up here as soon as I find one.
Hyseq was down when I tried it
Oak Ridge National Laboratory had this to say about their new DNA chip.
A Card was supposedly a maker of smart card machinery, but from their website it seems they only make printed circuit cards for computers. If anyone can find an "A Card" that does this, drop me a line. These guys were supposed to be in the UK, but the A Card I found is apparently American.
Bannerbridge Digital Imaging systems carries Fargo card machines as well as the Fujitsu Fingerscan and Identix Touchsafe II lines of biometric devices. Gee, doesn't that sound perfectly ordinary - and isn't it absolutely balls-out TERRIFYING?
Card Services International is kind of interesting simply because it's in Ireland. Maybe they can get the contract for the UK's new National ID Card - and yes, I know Ireland isn't in the UK.
ColorX is a distributor of Fargo equipment. If Fargo won't sell to you directly, try these guys.
Conde Systems do not make ID card machines per se, but they do make color printers, including ID card printers.
Dermalog is a German company which makes biometric, card, key and other ID and security equipment. The systems on this page run on ordinary PCs using Windows NT.
FARGO seems to be the big fish in this scummy, toxic pond. I recommend getting familiar with their equipment - you'll probably be using it from one side of the camera if not the other (and perhaps are already).
G & A Imaging are the makers of Episuite and Photo Recall, which are ID and printing systems for ordinary PCs
ID Shop is self-explanatory.
Identatronics must be run by people who don't know how to spell - then again, they get at the top of any list under "Identi-" so maybe they're not so dumb.
Believe me, it works.
Mag-Tek is another major player, like Fargo. Unfortunately, although I can confirm that they *did* have a website at the above URL, Netscape tells me it doesn't have a DNS entry. Gee, that's strange. You don't suppose ... nawwwwww! A tyrant services company go out of business? Perish the thought! Why, if that happened, it might impair the Gov's ability to control us - can't have THAT now, can we?
POSNET has at least 2 pages for ID cards that I've found, one for Automated ID Card Systems and another for Smart Cards.
Plasti-Clip sound like they just make those stupid little clips for ID cards, right? Well, they make a lot more, too, so explore the whole site.
RICOH supposedly makes ID equipment, but I sure can't find it here. I'm including the link just in case. If you find their identity systems page, let me know.
Schlumberger Eletronic Transactions
Smart Move is a tyranny enabler in New Zealand. Gee, I thought the Kiwis were a laid back lot. Guess their government sees things differently - and there, as here, there are *plenty* of people eager to make money from the oppression of others.
Team Nisca sounds like a gang of thugs, or a mob of sports goons, or an elite cop unit ... ehh, what's the difference?
Ultra electronics would seem to be the second biggest fish after Fargo.
If you've ever had to cash a check (and most of us have) you know it can be a hassle. Unless it's your own check written to you and cashed at your own bank, the tellers ALWAYS give you a hard time, even if they know you. Let's face it, they're a bunch of bureaucratic little jackals with some kind of stick up their butts. Cashing a check is rarely quick and it is NEVER easy.
How many times have you wished you could just take your check to an ATM, stick it in and cash it - no teller, no lines (maybe) and especially no need to show anyone a government-issued identity document?
Mr. Payroll has invented a way to do just that.
The Mr. Payroll Check Cashing Machine (CCM) uses biometric facial recognition to verify the identity of people cashing checks. The system uses its own database to verify users' identities, so it does not need to communicate with their bank - indeed, it is possible to use Mr. Payroll CCMs without having a bank account.
I say again: you can cash checks at these machines WITHOUT HAVING A BANK ACCOUNT.
If you ask me, this is one use of biometrics which INCREASES FREEDOM for oppressed people. You know as well as I do that the banking industry has gotten abusive in recent years. Every time you turn around they're adding fees for this, fees for that, and no end in sight. Worse, the FedGov has been trying (and is planning) to make it almost impossible for anyone to live without a bank account anymore - all the better to track your finances with, Loyal Citizen. And all the better to destroy your ability to use money at all without their approval.
Note also that countries and corporations everywhere are pushing us to use cards instead of cash. This is promoted as "convenient" but in fact is only so for those profiting from our every move - the banks. For us, it is an outrageous INconvenience. But the Gov and corporations seem intent on eliminating cash and forcing us to use banks for everything - which is the main reason these parasitic vultures, sensing captive prey, are gnashing their fangs to nibble us slowly to death.
Mr. Payroll seems to change all that.
With CCMs it becomes possible to cash a check without having a bank account AND, vastly more important, without using ANY kind of government ID. Your only ID is your face - and that can neither be issued, stolen, forged or revoked. Mr. Payroll examines your facial biometrics when you join the system (which you do by phone - no need to meet a human being) and refers to that whenever you use the system. No ID card is EVER required.
Think of the possibilities.
Since you never show the system a printed identity document, you can enter ANY Social Security Number you want - it has no way of knowing whether that's you or not. Even if someone else has that number, the system only checks your entered-each-time data against your own previously-established number - as long as you can keep it straight in your head, no problem.
Also, you can use any name you wish. Want to receive checks in another name? Open a new account. The only thing that will always be the same is your face. Of course, this fact can be used to compile a profile of all your aliases, but so what? Frankly, I'm beyond caring what info the Little Nazis collect on me - I am more concerned with beating them in the Physical World.
I myself do not have a bank account - and I won't get one either. I have trouble cashing checks, but it's better than being nickel-and-dimed to death and monitored all the way to the grave. I would welcome a fairly anonymous system like Mr. Payroll - I would never need to enter a bank again. Even if there is a fee of several dollars per check, it would be worth it.
By the way, the CCMs will cash ANY check, not just paychecks.
POTENTIAL FOR TYRANNY
Of course I know there is plenty of potential for tyranny here. The company will surely sell the biometric info they collect. But really, is that any worse than what we have now? I'd much rather deal with a system that only has my facial scan than one which has ALL my personal information ever encoded.
Imagine a kid who gets his first job a few years from now, when Mr. Payroll machines are popping up everywhere. The Kid has never had a bank account, nor does he need one. He just takes his paycheck to a CCM and cashes it. Credit cards? Why bother? When he can cash his paycheck so easily, the Kid would rather have cash-in-hand - after all, it's CONVEEENIENT.
This kid goes through life generating NO bank records at all. If he needs to pay a bill by mail, he can buy a money order - maybe at a Mr. Payroll machine that prints them up when he puts in cash. And, living without credit, he is forced to develop the good habit of saving. Perhaps he can also do that on a Mr. Payroll machine, trusting the system to release his money only when his own handsome face is in front of the camera.
CONCLUSION
I don't like anyone using documents to restrict my freedom. It would seem that this system uses electronics to restore a modicum fo freedom, and in that sense I like it. It remains to be seen how biometric technology will be used against us - and I'm sure it will be. In this case, however, I think it works in our favor.
