A CONSIDERATION

Toys usher children into the world of adults. They entice.

TheseTOYZ, however, are more indicative of the realities of being

grown up - the dangers, the stoppage, the breakdown, the tenuousness.....

Small scale sculptures in various humble mediums - plaster, cardboard,

styrofoam - that appear toylike, are arranged on an oriental carpet

platform, or in a sandbox construction, surrounded by graphic work depicting images of TOTZ ( not-so-proper Victorian children)

Together they will form a rich and evocative tableau, furthering

the process of 'retrouvaille', or finding new form and

meaning in the remixing and reconsideration of artworks done in the past .
