I think she's fantastic! Brilliantly fantastic! And clever, if
I might add. She's very beautiful, talented, and seems like such
a sweet person! She is so easy to admire, and her character on
The X-Files is magnificently done. I think she is a great role
model for all young ladies. (and I often wonder how she would

What is her schooling?
Well, lets see here....Gillian attended Fountain Elementary and then
City High in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After graduating in 1986
she moved to Chicago and attended the Goodman Theater School at
DePaul University (a major theater conservatory), in Chicago,
IL where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. While
attending DePaul Uni, she also studied at the summer program at the
National Theater of Great Britain at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.

What is her acting history?
She started acting when she was 17 (most likely was in a high
school drama class/club). When she wastrying to get her Bachelor
of FIne Arts at DePaul University, Ms Anderson spent some time
at the National Theater of Great Britain. At that time, she
played a part in "The Turning" (of 1988) then she showed up in
New York with great enthusiasum in a career of acting. Was in
an off-broadway production of Alan Ayckbourne's "Absent
Friends," for which I award her for her Theater World award in
1991. She also did Also "The Philanthropist" at the Long Wharf
Theater in New Haven and ended up in L.A. then did some t.v.
shows. When she took up "Dana Scully" in The X-Files,
she beacuse very famous.

Personal Profile:
Gillian has described herself as a
wild-child during her teenage years,
sporting a punk haircut and a nose ring.
According to her interviews, this was a
way for her to convey and express her
feelings. But inside, she harboured a
dream of becoming either an
archeologist or a marine biologist.
In high school she tried acting and it all
started from there. Now Gillian is
known throughout the world as the
cool and calm Dana Scully, called "a
thinking man's crumpet" and also the
perfect role-model for women and
making the media sit up and take
notice. Despite all the attention given to
the show and to her, Gillian remains
unaffected by her sudden fame.
Fans who have met her, says she's
warm, friendly and according to Chris
Carter, "she's smart and spunky", Glen
Morgan describes her as "just about the
sweetest person on earth.", David
Duchovny commented on how
hardworking she is.
Upon completing her education, Gillian
moved to New York and did some theatre
work. In 1991, Gillian won a Theatre
World Award for her Off-Broadway play,
Absent Friends.She also had a part in
The Philanthropist, a play held at the
Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven,
Connecticut.
She later moved to Los Angeles. Her
only previous role in television before
The X-Files, was a guest spot in the
short-lived series, Class of 96. The
title of the episode in which she guest
starred was 'The Accused' ,episode 8.
In 1993, she auditioned for the role of
Special Agent Dana Scully in the show
called X-Files.
