Archive History
Something I think personally is very important for you as a patron a to understand is, were this
archive came from, and why it was created. This archive was founded by
Bryson Meunier in march of '96
"(Bryson)I started the archive in (I think) March of 96. I started after EMI
shut down OLGA. At that time there was a serious lack of amateur
transcriptions on the web, and no space for new amateur transcriptions
to be stored.Since no one else was providing this space, I decided to do
it myself. Originally, I had only planned to keep the archive running for a
couple of weeks-- just long enough for some other home page to
incorporate it or for OLGA to reopen. Instead I ended up maintaing it for a couple
of years. It has been fun, though. But, I haven't the time (or really the motivation) to
continue it." -Bryson
I'am taking over the site for Bryson because, He as an English Major has very little time
to devote to this site. So when he offred me to take it over, I jumped at the chance.
I have changed a couple of things the design and also there will be more frequent updates where as
I'am just a high school student, I have more time to devote to the site. Also, the proffional transcription policy
has been dropped for reasons explained in theStatement of purpose section.
Other then that the song remains the same so continue to enjoy and contribute.
