The Interdiction (A Commission in Lunacy) (1828)

The wife of a slightly eccentric nobleman hopes to get her husband declared insane so she can control the family's wealth. A lower level judge is recruited to help but when his honesty becomes an impediment, suitable arrangements are made for his future by his superiors.
