This is me and and my best friend in here at the Atlantic Antic on my 22 birthday! I'm the brunette in the front,Amelia is the beautious blonde.
And THIS is me at just a few weeks old in my very stylish mother's arms. I was SO cute!

And this is me now

Hi my name is Rebekah, my middle name is Joy.  All together it means "Entrappment of Joy" which pretty much tells you all you need to know about me.  But seriously, I have a BA in English from the University at Buffalo. I hated Buffalo, (but not enough to go through the hassle and paperwork of transfering) so I hightailed it out of there as quick as I could taking as many credits in a semester, which also ensured most of my time was spent indoors -- where it's warm.

I spent a semester at sea  for my last semester of school and I had the time of my life visiting countries in South America, Africa and Asia, of course we had to start in the Bahamas, so THAT was hard (hee hee).  It was incredible. I saw life and death, I saw ages pass and moments linger.  I saw children cry with laughter and it opened my heart wider than I had known was possible.  It was by far the most glorious three months of my life.  So far.

Not that any of this educational experience has helped me occupationally, but that's the price you pay for being born in generation X or whatever.  I was born in 1975, does that make me an Xer?  I just don't know.  In anycase I like my job now unlike most people my age, and I hope only for someone soon to say "Hey, I'll publish you!"  (oh, that, and I wish my loans would pay themselves).  Actually I have an agent to push my children's vocabulary book on unsuspecting publishers but apparently that means diddly-squat in terms of someone buying it. I am on rejection letter 20, and counting. In the meantime, I am going to school to Learn to teach English as a Second language. I am now finishing up my student teaching and I LOVE I mean LOVE teaching ESL...I walk out of my Level 1 Grammar Class thinking..."I am a Grammar Goddess, you shall kneel before me! MWAH HA HA HA HA!" Well not always, but it does make me smile and feel great that I am sharing what I know and helping people find solutions to the problems of learning a new language. I am leaving for Korea in the Fall for one year (check the General Life Index for my Korean Journey Diary for updates as the process progresses), and I am so excited to embark on the next adventure of my life!

I work at a job now where I am working 9 to 5 and get paid pretty well, I have a fully loaded computer at my disposal, and make more money than I would ever make doing something like publishing or editorial work (helloooooo slave labor!). It's tedious but that's fine by me really, although when I have a moment of absolute ennui or I just feel like doing ANYTHING but working, It can be quite loathsome.  Especially if my friends at the mookville chat board aren't around.

Anyway  I dig it here but if anyone should happen upon this page and is in need of a personal chef, editor, shopper, tutor, singer/songwriter, actress, or story teller extraordinaire, then give me a mail why don't you at lemmohr@aol.com and I'll give you a copy of my resume (or my phone number *wink* *wink*).

So that's all there is about me. Go read my other stuff to find out more, okay?
