It's a party!!!!
Yeah yeah... the good old days when I was young and stupid (1996).... That's me on the extreme left of the left picture and Tracey in the middle with her mouth wide open (wearing sunglasses at night). This was a kikoy (serong) party with a difference. You had to wear a kikoy with something freaky and cheeky. I went as a belly-dancer and James, in the pic to the right, went as an American Indian. Some of the guys wore their serong / kikoy with a shirt, tie and jacket. But as the evening progressed everyone hardly wore anything.
My friends and I love theme parties. I guess it's any excuse to be silly. At my birthday party last year my bathroom almost got burnt down.... it a long story... It all happen after I had broken into my landlord's house (he was away on holiday) in a drunken state to get the key for a studio next to mine (which had a piano) so that my brother could sing for all of us... at 3 in the morning. It was all very memorable... especially the, once invisible, cobwebs in my bathroom turned purple from the smoke of the, now decease, purple candle holder Tracey had given me as a birthday present (which started the fire).
Then there was the "Vampire, Witches and Wizards party", which went down a treat. I was dressed as an S&M vampire in black leather and a red teddy. Unfortuately no pictures of me survived that party. As you can see from the picture on the left, my brother was also a somewhat unusual vampire. It was Winter so I cooked up a steaming, red concoction of gluvine. It was such a hit that the party moved to the kitchen so that I could make more and more of the stuff for a constant supply. Everyone got very trashed as it's quite a potent drink.
Other parties include "The dead celebrities party" and countless "dinner parties", which are actually sophisticated covers for debauchery - (only around a table eating exquisite food... then falling off our chairs onto the floor... from which we can't get up till morning... which is about 2 hours later.)
