cut3 was the third in a series of audio kits - this was a collaborative project with Scott Konzelman of Chop Shop - the audio used in this edition consisted of two reel to reel tapes that was recorded by Scott, one tape contained materials sent by myself to Scott (which i had taken from the cut2 audio kit), who then processed them before sending it back to me, the other tape contained materials from Scott himself - these two tapes were then cut up into small lengths by myself, these small lengths of tape were placed inside a small zip lock bag to be included in the package - the package was made from a 5 inch reel to reel tape hub box, that had a sheet of cork and a sample floor tile glued to the top side of the box lid - also in the package was a blank 5 inch reel hub that had a tac and chop shop sticker on it, a razor blade (to cut the tape up even more), and two sheets of splicing tape strips (to splice all the pieces of tape together for playback) - this was a self released project in an edition of 55 copies -
