Sonnet of Sonnets

Walking through the glistering rain
Feeling trapped and so much in pain
Trying to escape my woes and sorrows
Not looking forward to another tomorrow

Loneliness is no friend of mine
I must have cried over you a thousand times
While I lay tortured in my bed
Sleepless nights haunt me like a unwanted plague

My love for you is deeper than any river
Mentioning your name makes me quiver
Though your love you hasten not to give
Today, tomorrow, I will love you still

So alone I walk through the glistering rain
Washing away my teardrops' stain.
