LODI AND LENNYs FIRST INTERVIEW

Meat the Press: Lenny and Lodi
By Chad "Deliboy" Damiani

As a reporter for WCW.com, I'm often asked to
pioneer dangerous missions, confront angry
wrestlers and put myself in perilous danger.

Other times, I'm allowed to enjoy latte and Biscotti
during an afternoon visit to Starbucks.

That was the meeting place designated by Lenny
Lane and Lodi, the two talented WCW rookies that
have scored a few upset victories and have the
entire promotion talking.

The topic of conversation, however, isn't always
their respective wrestling skills.
I decided to end all the murmuring and conduct this
Meat the Press interview. Some of Lenny and Lodi's
answers might surprise you; other comments might
leave you shocked and outraged.

But you might just leave this column wanting more
of the blonde upstarts -- and an avocado facial.

CD: Tell me how you both got started.

Lenny: I got started in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I was trained
by Ed Sharky. I worked the independent scene, worked in Japan with a
promotion called Michonoku, did two shots for ECW in February of
1997. When I worked a show with Kevin Sullivan on it, he saw me and
got me a tryout here.

Lodi: I trained in North Carolina, under a guy named
C.W. Anderson. A year and a half later, I moved to the Power
Plant. I trained there for about six months before Raven put me on TV.

CD: How did you two end up meeting?

Lenny: West Hollywood.

CD: What were you two doing out there?

Lodi: I live out there now.

Lenny: And I was visiting a day spa.

CD: So you guys met, and my understanding is that you really hit it
off...

Lodi: Absolutely. We're really great friends. We
have so much in common, it's pathetic.

Lenny: We knew each other, since we were in the company so long, but
we really didn't know each other.

CD: Like what?

Lenny: We both love reading, coffee and light music like the
Commodores.

Lodi: We're both wine connoisseurs. You name it, we
can do it.

CD: And you learned all of this in one stirring conversation?

Lenny
: Have you ever been to a day spa?

CD: Uh, no.

Lenny: It's like an eight-hour ordeal.

Lodi: You're there for a while.

Lenny: You get the manicure, the body rubs, the skin wraps -- the works.

Lodi: You're there all day long. So we had a chance to bond and talk
and get to know some in-depth stuff about each other.

CD: How will this friendship effect your careers? Will we see a tag
team in the future, or just support outside the ring?

Lodi: It's a cutthroat business. Everybody needs somebody watching
there back. Now I've got a great guy watching mine.
