Colors and their Meanings

Color is used in the craft to help to increase power in spells, or to influence a particular power. Mostly in the form of candles.
But there are other items that have color and will help increase the power of your rite/spell. Below I've provided a list of colors,
which I use and is offered to help you in your journey into the craft.  This is not a set list so feel free to add to it.
Color Meanings: (Both for candles and in everyday lives.)
 

White: A balance of all colors; Spiritual enlightenment, peace, purity, spirituality, higher self,
consecration, divination, clairvoyance, cleansing, clairvoyance, healing, protection, purification,
peace, truth seeking, clarity, protection, peace, purity, truth, sincerity, spiritual enlightenment,
cleansing, greater attainments in life, and power of a higher nature; Rituals involving lunar energy.
May be substituted for any color candle. Represents the 7th Chakra; color for Monday, Aries,
Pisces; maybe substituted for any color candle.

Red: For energy, relationship, career goals, strength, health, passion, energy, enthusiasm, courage,
vigor, sexual love, sexual potency, to conquer fear or laziness, love, fertility, will power; increases
magnetism in rituals; draws Aries and Scorpio energy. Represents the 1st Chakra. Color for
Tuesday, Gemini, Capricorn, Taurus and Leo.

Light Blue: For healing, change, happiness, tranquility, understanding, patience, health,
devotional/inspirational meditations, spiritual color; helpful in devotional or inspirational
meditations; brings peace and tranquility to the home; radiates Aquarius energy; employ
where a situation must be synthesized. Radiates Aquarius energy.

Blue: Primary spiritual color; for rituals to obtain wisdom, harmony, inner light, or peace;
confers truth, wisdom, protection, calm, creativity, patience, astral projection, prophetic
dreams, guidance, vision, healing, meditation, tranquility, forgiveness, wisdom, harmony,
inner light or peace, truth, guidance, inspiration, occult power, protection, understanding,
good health, happiness, fidelity, harmony in the home, patience; represents the 5th Chakra.

Turquoise: For awareness, meditation, moon creativity; represents the 5th Chakra.

Magenta: Combination of red and violet that oscillates on a high frequency; energies
rituals where immediate action and high levels of power or spiritual healing are required.
Quick changes, spiritual healing, exorcism; has a very high vibrational frequency that
tends to work fast, so is usually burned with other candles; energizes rituals where
immediate action is necessary.

Dark Blue: For change, psychic work, impulsiveness, depression, changeability,
promotes laughter and joviality; color or loyalty; use to attract Jupiter energy,
or whenever an influence needs to be increased. Color for Thursday, Aquarius.

Green: For money, finances, luck, physical healing, abundance, growth, fertility,
growth, and employment, promotes prosperity, success; stimulates rituals for
good luck, money, creativity, healing, money/finance, prosperity, luck, fertility,
success, harmony, rejuvenation, abundance, good fortune, generosity, renewal,
marriage, balance; color for Friday and Cancer.

Emerald Green: Important component in Venusian rituals; attracts love, social
delights, emotional healing and protection, calming,
fertility, Venus; represents the 4th Chakra.

Yellow: For intellect, learning, breaking mental blocks, persuasion, attraction, study,
divination, activity, creativity, unity, sensuality, clairvoyance, learning, the power of
the mind, communication, activity, creativity, unity, solar energy, power of
concentration and imagination, intellect, confidence, gentle persuasion, action,
inspiration, sudden changes; brings power of concentration and imagination to
a ritual; use in rituals where you wish to gain anothers confidence or persuade
someone, or in rituals that require solar energy. Represents the 3rd Chakra;
color for Sunday, Sagittarius and Virgo.

Brown: For healing animals and stability, earthly, hesitation, uncertainty, neutrality,
attract money and financial success, influence Earth Elemental's, concentration,
balance, E.S.P, intuition, study, balanced color; for rituals of material increase;
eliminates indecisiveness; improves powers of concentration, study, telepathy;
increases financial success; locates objects that have been lost. Color for Scorpio.

Pink: Promotes romance, love, friendship, balance, emotional love, affections,
harmony, honor, morality, a color of femininity, spiritual awakening, healing
of the spirit, togetherness, a color of femininity, honor, service, brings friendly,
lively conversation to the dinner table; standard color for rituals to draw
affections; represents the 4th Chakra.

Orange: For stimulation, business goals, career goals, justice, success, ambition,
energy, strength, authority, attraction, joy, encouragement, adaptability, sudden
changes, control, power, to draw good things, change luck; represents the 2nd Chakra.

Purple: For power, healing diseases, spiritual power, psychic ability, ambition,
third eye, success, independence, meditation, success, idealism, psychic
manifestations; ideals for rituals to secure ambitions,  financial rewards,
or to make contact with the spiritual other world, transition, spirituality,
wisdom, psychic awareness, tension, ambition, business progress, power,
success, idealism, psychic manifestations, higher psychic ability, progress,
protection, honors, spirit contact, break bad luck, drive away evil, and
divination. Increases Neptune energy. Represents the 6th & 7th Chakras;
increases Neptune energy; color for Wednesday.

Indigo: For meditation, neutralizes anothers magic, stops gossip, lies or undesirable
competition, balances out karma. Color of inertia; stops situations or people; use
in rituals that require a deep meditation state; or in rituals that demand Saturn
energy. Draws Saturn energy.

Black: For divine power, protection, repelling, binding, banishing, meditation and
protection from negativity, magic, absorption and destruction of negative energy,
loss, discord, confusion, opens deeper levels of the unconscious, reversing,
uncrossing, binding negative forces, protection, releasing, repel dark magic
and negative thought forms. Opens up the deeper levels of the unconscious;
use in rituals to induce a deep meditation state, or to banish evil or negativity
as in uncrossing rituals; attracts Saturn energy. Represents the 1st Chakra;
color for Saturday, Libra.

Gold: For the Sun, solar energy, financial matters, prosperity, yang, great fortune,
intuition, understanding, divination, attracts higher influences, divine powers.
Fosters understanding and attracts the powers of cosmic influences; beneficial in
rituals intended to bring about fast luck or money, or in rituals needing solar energy.

Silver: For the Moon, lunar energy, female energy, yin, female deity powers, removes
negative powers, victory, stability, meditation, develop psychic abilities; Removes
negativity, telepathy, clairvoyance, intuition, dreams, astral energy and encourages
stability; helps develop psychic abilities; attracts the influence of the Mother Goddess.
Goddess power.

Gray: Negates or neutralizes a negative influence, cancellation, neutrality, stalemate.
Neutral color useful when pondering complex issues during meditation; in magic,
this color often sparks confusion; it also negates or neutralizes a negative influence.

Rose: For self love, enhancing relationships; represents the 4th Chakra.

Peach: For gentle strength, joy; represents the 2nd Chakra.

Royal Blue: For laughter, joviality, loyalty, increasing influence; draws Jupiter power.

Silver Blue: For deep wisdom, intuition, the Moon; represents the 6th Chakra.

Lavender: For intuition, dignity, spiritual shield; represents the 6th Chakra.

Dark Green: For the color of ambition, greed, jealousy; counteracts these influences in a ritual.

Greenish Yellow: For sickness, cowardice, anger, jealousy, and discord.

Sea green: For emotional healing and protection, calming; represents the 4th Chakra.
