A silent whisper of autumn
creeping across the forest skies,
gently caressing the earth
with a brilliant array of color.

The memory of  summer
fades with the autumn rain,
The leaves desperately cling to the trees
as gentle droplets release their fighting grip.

Slowly drifting to the earth's lowest point
creating a layer of protection
for the slumber growth that awaits
the awakening of spring warmth.

Temperate winds swiftly uplifting
the aroma of the fallen leaves
as they tumble back and forth
across the forest floor.

Winter's blanket of white
brings quiet now to the dancing leaves,
still... but not forgotten,
preparing underneath,
to nurture a new beginning.

Our love for each other
is like that of the leaves.
with bountiful emotions.
And like the tranistion to autumn,
creating a colorful fantasy,
then slowly it will fade away
and desperately we will cling to each other
as the tears of loneliness, release our hopes,
and slowly our souls will become heavy
for we are limitied in love.
We assure each other that one day
we will emerge from our slow descent,
protecting one another from hurt.
And like the uplifting wind,
our love will rise and fall
and tumble back and forth across our hearts.
The hardest times still awaiting us
in our quiet moments.
We know if we weather the long days and nights,
a new beginning will surface
and we will nurture each others' spirits.
