Sometimes life has a peculiar way,
Of losing contact with those we meet,
Whether it be friends or family,
Or the neighbors down the street.

With the hustle and bustle of every day life,
We sometimes go astray,
Of simply sharing a friendly smile,
Or saying, "Have a nice day!" 

Let us express, with our hearts,
Thank you for being you,
And for being, not a stranger,
But a friend so pure, and true, 

It is wonderful people, like yourself,
That makes the world unique,
It's that kind smile, and friendly salute,
That makes our lives complete.
