To sing in songs that sang themselves
To think in threes and not in twelves
To keep my memories safe on shelves
To see the worlds in which she delves
And to understand.
To be with her inside her head
To hold her as she goes to bed
To remember all she has said
To know the monsters she has fled
And to know her fear.
To love her when I call her name
To know she loves me just the same
To be frozen with her in the frame
To know it is more than a game
And have her, forever.
