Choctaw Spiritual Seeker

Descendant of Ha-tchoc-tuck-nee
of the Choctaw People

I am the father of seven children, the grandfather of four.
You can see that I belive that we should have as much "Fun" as possible in this life

Council with your Spirit, your Mind, and your Heart
then do with all vigor as the Destiny you have chosen Commands.
All things are as they should be...
as they can be no other way at this moment in time.

Rain

Waking up on a Sunday morning,
Drifting off to sleep on a Tuesday Night.
I can hear the driving of the pouring rain,
I know it'll be alright.

How I love to hear the claps of thunder,
How I love to see the neon sky.
This is when I know the Spirit is with me.
I feel like I was born to fly.

The water, the rain, it's all around me,
I look up to see the falling sky.
When the storm is over and the sky is hazy,
This is my time to say good-bye.

The flash, the fire, the roaring thunder,
There's got to be a storm before the day.
If I wait till the fire is near me,
I won't have the strength to pull away.

Visions Not Faded

Dancing Rabbit Creek treaty
with false promises we signed
Bargaining with possessions (land)
we'd soon leave behind
Broken treaties for so many years
The one most remembered "Trail of Tears"
I still hear cries of so long ago
Of hunger and weakness in weathers so cold
I feel a deep darkness when I vision those days
Of my people suffering from greedy (white) man ways
By 1829, Jackson took lead
Full of hatred, ego and greed
He was a cruel man, no truth did he speak
His one mission: to make my forefathers weak
The wishes of white man was our land to take
To terminate, starve and spirits to break
The Great Spirit beside them
To Oklahoma they came
Their land and their lives
Andrew Jackson to blame
"Manifest Destiny" No! They did not understand
Why kill our people? Why take our land?
You are not superior, You aren't #1 race
Manifest Destiny was just to save face
They walked proudly then
Not knowing harm done
The battle did not die there
It had only begun
My heritage survived
Through disease and starvation
We stand proudly forever
We are Choctaw Nation

My Love and I have decided to move on to other different Life Paths... Although we remain very good friends, we feel there are other Learnings and Fun to be had with other partners. I truely wish the best for her and support her in what ever Life Path she chooses... as I'm sure she does for me also...
