Echo & The Bunnymen

It's only fair that we begin the music page with Echo & The Bunnymen. After all, you could say they are my absolute favorite. The first album I had of theirs was 'Ocean Rain'... and I've been in love with them ever since. I saw Ian McCulloch (the wonderful lead singer... and my little angels name-sake) live back in 1990 when he was touring for his solo album 'Candeland' and I was lucky enough to see The Bunnymen on their Evergreen tour just a couple of months ago in Salt Lake City. And as I'm sure you all know, I was privileged to meet Ian after the show. Which is where I got the autograph on this page. (it was the highlight of my life! something I never thought that would happen to little old me)

The Divine Comedy

If you've never heard Neil Hannon, you're leading a worthless, useless, empty existence. This man is a genious. You must go out and get 'Casanova'... which came out in 1997. And the new single 'Marvelous Party' is out on March 30.

My Life Story

And this brings us to the ever wonderful My Life Story. Fronted by the multi-talented Jake Shillingford (whose fantastic voice and catchy lyrics drive me crazy.... believe me, in a VERY good way). Their first album 'Mornington Crescent' was recently re-released, and contains B-sides from their first singles (for those of you who don't know, I have... um, very 'personal' feelings for First Person Singular).

Simon Warner

And last but definately not least is Simon. His one and only album 'Waiting Rooms' is sheer brilliance. The lyrics are cynical... and his gruff smokers voice is unusually sexy. If you've never heard him, you need to get in touch with me so I can make and send you a tape (I'm serious!)

Other groups/musicans I love
(but they weren't special enough to get a whole section to themselves)

Pulp
James
Stephen Duffy
Talking Heads/David Byrne
The Lightning Seeds
Beautiful South
