I did a lot of experimenting. I had smooth head and beard. I had buzzed head and beard. I had buzzed head and goatee. (Yes, I who think goatees are way too common, had one for a short while). I had short hair and bushy goatee. I kind of liked that. This went on for about six months. Around May 20, 1998, I shaved my head once more. And then....
Well, and then I let it grow. I haven't cut it at all in over 2 years now.
I guess I had my fun, and then I decided to go back to my old self
again. I still like having long hair. I think it makes a great
silhouette in shadows. It makes me feel more wild. Having long hair
also makes me feel like I fit in better with people who have long hair,
and they're among the ones who I like best (although sometimes.... but that's
probably the subject of a Musing I haven't written yet).
So you longhairs who've stuck with me through this series of pages might be breathing a sigh of relief. "Whew! Glad THAT little phase is past."
Well, not so fast. See, I liked not having hairballs on the floor and in the shower. I liked not having to fuss with my hair when I went driving. And ... well, long hair isn't really a fetish for me (though I do like it a lot)... whereas shaving, now....
Don't panic yet. I don't have the clippers warming up while I write this page. I think I like having long hair better. Having tried long hair, short hair, and no hair, I can now honestly say that. But, it's good to know that if aliens someday do steal my hair, I'll know what my head looks like.
OK, I'm done. You can go back to the home page now.
