Pastor Dirk Rouen of this church invited us into his church to use as a coffee house on the weekends, for the teens that hang out. We had the idea of starting a coffee house on the week-ends for the teen's that hang around downtown. Pastor Dirk was so supportive of it that he had flyers printed up and had some members of the church distribute the around downtown. We had our grand opening on Saturday, March 24th, and it was AWESOME!
Our Hours are:
Friday night from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am
(church services from 7:00 to 8:30 pm)
Saturday night from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am
We have live music, conversation, testimonials, etc. There are a variety of drinks and snacks, some provided by the ladies of the church. We are is also supported by some of local the CMA members. Through the course of the evening we also get on our bikes and go around town, wherever we can find some teen's, and pass out tracts, share, and fellowship with them wherever we can. All indications to date tell me that it will grow ever bigger. We are having a ball!
