This will, I hope, be the one and only page on my site that is even remotely serious.
This page is not here to evoke sympathy.
Don't even think 'sorry' because it isn't your fault. It isn't anybody's fault.
This page is here to save the awkward situation of asking the question of "how is your eye."
And to put answers/confirmations/denials to rumours that may or may not be floating around.
Feel free to talk behind my back, but make sure that I do not find out. Eye jokes are acceptable.
It is not that I do not appreciate your concern. Quite the contrary. I am flattered that so many people care.
However, as i hope you may be able to appreciate, being asked the same question for the 17th time in one day can become a little exasperating.
So if i seem hostile at you for asking that question, please accept my apologies in advance, and my heartfelt thanks.
The eye itself looks completely normal, and if I didn't tell you about it, you would not notice it on your own. It is not swollen, or a different colour (althought that'd be pretty cool) and moves in fair co-ordination with the right eye.
I am not any more grotesque looking than I was before I had the accident. (Not that it'd make much difference anyway.)
I do not mind talking about how it happened, what exactly happened, or even why it happened, but please don't ask for updates on how it is too often. Just treat me like you would treat anybody else. And I don't mind eye jokes. Just try to keep them tasteful.
I promise to post any changes in my eye ASAP.
A special note of gratitude must go to my dearest sister. If you are reading this, thankyou for everything you have done. I can not stress enough how much your care and support means to me.

Yep, it has been confirmed. I go for surgery on Mon 28th. So:
- If I update this page after that, then I'll update you on the surgery.
- If I don't update this page after that... then obviously the operation was a success and i'm just having fun doing better and more interesting things than this.
- If this page doesn't exist anymore, you're 2 years too late and geocities has taken down my page.
Well, i get to bludge a week of school... hehe, but as they say, every silver lining has a cloud...

Hmmm, I know most of you don't really care anyway, but i'm going to put this up anyway, mostly because i have nothing much better to do.
Ok, so the surgery went pretty good. Only problem was that a week after surgery I had exams, so i literally couldn't read half of them, but hey, crap happens.
Lets see, um, the surgery.... well, it was a routine 1hr operation, where they go in, freeze and put a silicon band around my eyeball. Only problem was, as routine so often does, it didn't quite go to routine... oh, special thanks to Greg, my anasthesiologist, who kept my drugs up, after the operation went for over 2 and a half hrs.... as far as i'm concerned, he's done a great job as long as i don't wake up...
Anyway, the operation went a little (*cough*) long, but, my doctor, Dr Branley, did a great job. (If anyone needs an opthomologist (sp? eh, i can't spell... i can't read either... so one more won't make much of a difference... hehe) I'll recommend you, because he is really great).
So, he did a buckle (silicon band thing) and he also put an air bubble in my eye. I'll tell anyone who wants to know how it all works etc, and what it does, so don't be afraid to ask if you're actually interested. Otherwise, if it's a curtesy thing, don't worry about it.

So the short of it... vision's improved, so that's pretty cool... and i can do this really neat new party trick, where i show ppl the stitches on the top of my eyeball, hehe

Wow, hey everyone
it's certainly been a while since i last posted anything. my maths is still as bad as it ever was, so i calculate it's around 8 months? something like that
hehe, that is a long time......
but yep, i'm still here, more or less in one piece :)
So anyway, the eye's fairly stable now. Won't get any better, but won't get any worse, so i figure, no news is good news, hehe
oh, did i say anything about the iris before? hmmm, can't remember, (and can't be bothered reading what i already wrote, hehe) so anyway, yeah, the iris in the left eye doesn't work very well anymore, which basically means i should wear sunglasses a lot.... hehe, so i really can't complain too much there :)
anyway, well, i guess this will be the last chapter i write here. been over a year since it happened, and everything's progressed as nicely as one could have hoped :)
and in case anyone wants to know, yes, i'm still playing soccer. back in the good old team again.... (midfield... he put me midfield!!.... can you believe it??? argh!.... hmmm, yes, well, that's another story)
Everyone's been really nice about it all, and although i'd love to acknowledge everyone for their support, i don't think i have the webspace to do it all in
