Wellington Uttley was born March 26, 1882. He was the second of eight children of John Robert Uttley and Catherine (nee Birmingham).
The birth is not found in the Ontario Birth Indexes of the day. The date of birth is found in a "Delayed" Birth Registration done by his father in 1927 (#902210):

The City Directories for 1901-1903 say that he continues to live at home and work at the Waterloo Woollen Mills.

The where abouts of Wellington after the death of his wife in 1921 is not known. He was still alive and living in Flint, Michigan when his father died in 1950. And Wellington is listed as a survivor when his brother Gordon died in 1952, now living in Corfu, New York.

Caroline Mary Playford was born in Ontario on March 18, 1863. She was the daughter of Stephen Playford, a farmer, and Caroline Bird. The date of birth comes from the 1901 Census in Wellesley Township where she lived with an older sister Leah and older brother Andrea. Next door was a younger brother Ely (Eli) and his wife and an older sister Ellen.Death

The community was shocked last Saturday morning to hear of the death of Mrs. Wellington Uttley (nee Miss Caroline Playford). She had done her work as usual on Friday after which she went to Wellesley on business and not feeling well when she returned, she suffered a stroke during the night and passed away about 5 o'clock Saturday morning.
The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved husband who is now left alone.
