Peter Netcher and his twin brother, John B., were born two miles south of Elmore, Harris Twp, Ottawa Co, Ohio on March 2, 1840. Their parents were George Lewis Netcher and Margaretha Rambo, who were both born in Germany. They immigrated to the United States with his younger brother, George Francis and his wife Elizabeth, and their father, Adam Netcher, and possibly some other family members.
Peter married Sabra Wilson, daughter of Robert Wilson and Anna Craig, on September 18, 1862 in Oak Harbor, Ohio. He served in the Civil War in the 3rd Ohio Calvary.
