| The human person needs time to be alone. Solitude allows us the opportunity to be quiet and listen to the voice within. Solitude is a time for prayer and contemplation. Solitude provides us with a moment when we can 'just be'. Each person has her/his own need concerning the amount of solitude in their life. For some, it may mean only a few minutes a week while others demand much longer periods. Spending a period of time alone can be a way in which we regain equilibrium in our lives.
