There's nothing more awkward than writing about myself, but being that this *is* my page, I guess I've got to come up with something to say. I am 17 years old and a senior in high school. I live in a small hick town in south Louisiana. It NEVER snows here. A couple of years ago we had what they called "snow flurries" which means that it sorta kinda almost seemed like it was acutally snowing, because a few of the raindrops were frozen, but by the time they hit the ground they'd already melted. Well woo hoo. Big deal. I don't want snow flurries, I want SNOW! That's one of the reasons I don't think I'll be living in Louisiana all my life. I'd love to live somewhere up north where it snows all the time and Christmas is always white. But honestly, I'll be doin' good to pry myself away from my dad to go to LSU next year, much less move somewhere way up north.

My mom and dad are divorced. I live with my dad, and my two sisters, Erica and Brittney, live with my mom. I really miss having them around all the time. Brittney is 13 years old, and Erica is my twin. It's pretty rough being a twin. The hardest thing is ALWAYS being asked stupid questions like "Do y'all have ESP?" or "If I hit her, will you feel it?" and "If y'all are twins, how come y'all don't look alike?" We are total opposites of eachother, and we don't look alike at all. They call her the pretty one and me the smart one. I actually like that. :)

I work part time - well, I'm on the payroll as part time, I *do* get 40 hours a week quite often, ahem - at a grocery store here called Market Basket. It's a tough job being a cashier, mainly because people feel that their local grocery store cashier is the PERFECT person to take out all their stress and anxiety and general bad moods on. Other people feel that a cashier is the perfect person to hit on and try to score dates with. Ugh. I constantly listen to people whine about stuff... "Don't smash my bread!!" ... "Don't bag like that!!" ... "Prices here are ridiculous!!" ... "This is ringing up wrong, you're overcharging me!!" The only reason I keep my job is because I like the atmosphere of the people I work around - well, some of them. The ones who don't deserve to be tortured for all eternity (Jeremy Trahan, Derek Peterson, Marc McDonald, etc...) are actually pretty fun to work with. And we've got this REALLY awesome manager, Mr. Faulk! It's pretty much high school aged people there, and half of our freakin high school works there. The best part about it is that my best friend, Krystal, is a cashier there too. We like to get together and talk bad about certain customers who really get on our last nerve - there are quite a many of them.

Along with work, my time is pretty much occupied by school. I'm taking four classes this year - English IV, Spanish II, Calculus, and Business Computer Applications. Any time leftover is spent with my boyfriend, Andrew. We don't go to the same high school, which sucks, but we live in the same town. He goes to the high school he's supposed to go to, and I drive over the bridge to go to a BETTER school :) Seriously, though, he's the most awesome guy I've ever known. He's the only guy I've ever known who doesn't suffer from the Mack-Daddy Complex!
