Comments: I come to this site from a link at Amazons in Thongs.I must admit that both are great sites and I really don't know which is my favorite.I was reading your guestbook and was surprised at all the messages regarding Klonks.The ones that have written in all eem to have a crush fetish when they wear their Klonks.Are they crazy?I must admit this though.I am recently divorced and 54 yrs. old.When moving into my new apt. I was unpacking and came across a pair of Klonks I had bought somewhere around 1980.I began hinking about this guestbook and just for fun I grabbed a box of model cars my husband had left behind,slipped into my Klonks and placed all of his cars on the sidewalk.I stepped on one and stomped it into a million pieces.This really excited me and befor I knew it I had smashed all of his model cars.I guess all of us Klonk wearers develope a crushing attitude while wearing these thongs.I know now that I wear my Klonks quite often and its to damn bad if something gets in my way because I am going to smash it.Thanks for a great site and maybe some of these Klonk Krushers will send in pictures of their Klonks a Krushing.

Comments: I am interested in finding a pair of klonks.I understand that these were available in men's sizes several years ago but I could not find any.When I was 11 yrs old my 17 yr old sister had a pair.They had carvings on the sides and back and had black velvety v-thong straps.When no one was home I would wear her klonks around the house.They fitted me perfectly.I loved the sound they made while walking on hardwood floors.When I wore them I found that I developed an attitude and enjoyed stepping on things and cru hing them with these awesome thongs.I smashed some of my 6 yr old brothers cars with them when I found him messing around in my room.I would really like to find a pair.I noticed in pt 6 that M.O.D. and Yellow Box have thongs that are like klonks but have much more massive sole.I would even take a pair of these if I could find them in all black and they fit.

Comments: New discussion: During the 70's the platform look was really in especially in the way of platform shoes. I recall being able to find rubber platform thongs in men's sizes. During that time the straw mat style of thongs was very poplar amongst surfers and alike. Wooden Geta were also popular with both men and women. Now the platform look is back, but only for women. After seeing so many women wearing them I thought I would give them a try. I found the Laguna and Effea band thongs to be the most gender neutral (in style and color), with about a 1 1/2" thick sole and 2 1/4" heel. Social and fashion acceptance might be another thing however. I'm curious if women would find this look interesting or attractive on men? So far the Laguna and Effea band come in men's sizes (US size 9, and 10). I not sure about larger sizes but if the demand was there I'm sure you could find them. Besides being a little stiff and hard to walk in at first once broken in they feel quite comfortable for long walks. I'm not really sure if women like them for just trendy fashion or comfort?

Comments: Hello RJ... This coincidence is almost impossible, but true: my real name is RJ too and I'm also an inhabitant of the Lowlands! And last but not least... a klepper-fan of course! As a matter of fact I have a wide interest in everything related with legs, eet, footwear, shoes, boots, clogs, socks, kneesocks, pantyhose, etc. I have quite an extensive collection already. However until last summer I didn't have any klepper-like object. I always dreamt to own a pair but somehow I couldn't find the courage to e ter a shoeshop and buy me a pair. Besides adresses for men-size clogs and kleppers are not widespread in The netherlands (correct me if I'm wrong...) But there was that one particular adress in München with a lot of PR and links on the web... Atelier Fusaro. Their Berkemann-stuff appealed to me at once. But to travel to München just to buy a pair of Berkemann's didn't come into my mind. However in June I visited a congress in Augsburg and I decided to combine the trip with a visit to Munich. Finally I returned home with not just one but three pair of Berkemann's. Tgwo pairs of 'exercise-sandals' and one pair of sandals (the white Austria model, which is my absolute favourite)! I'm a happy man now and I wear them almost daily (but only at home...) And about your galeries I can only say: very inspiring and exciting! Thanks! best regards, Mystral

Comments: I had no idea what Kleppers were until I visited your site.Really enjoyed seeing the pictures of all the KLONKS.In 1981 I was fortunate to be able to buy a pair of men's KLONKS.They didn't have as thick of a sole as the women's but that was alright with m .My problem was that every time I put them on I developed an attitude and wanted to step on and crush or squash whatever got in my way.I became so violent with them one time that I split the soles while smashing one of my many model cars.No problem as I m de myself a new pair.This time I increased the height of the wooden sole to 2 1/2 inches.There is nothing out there that these Super KLONKS can't crush.They turn my model cars into dust and squash insects flat.I was wondering if you have ever had any requ st for crushing pictures?I think it would be great to see all of these Kleppers in action.

Comments: I visited your site and really enjoyed what I saw.I have always had a passion for platform thong sandals.After reading your guestpage and seeing what Stephanie wrote in I will have to agree that seeing all of the KLONKS brought back some memories.In 1980 was a sophmore in high school soon to be a junior providing I passed in summer school.My friend Patty and I had both purchased KLONKS and had worn them to summer school the next day.We usually rode the bus home everyday but decided to walk home.On our wa home we stepped on and crushed every insect we could find sometimes going way out of our way to crush these worthless creatures.It felt so good to feel their little bodies explode and crunch under the soles of our KLONKS.We came across a little boy playi g with his cars and trucks at a construction site.With nobody around we started to step on and crush his toys.It felt great to hear that plastic snap and crack under our KLONKS.When we were done crushing his cars I stepped on him with one foot on his ches and the other foot on his head.It was all I could do to control myself to keep from crushing his skull to mush.Just this morning I pulled my good pair of KLONKS(I had bought 2 pair in 1980) out of the closet.We had a boom box radio that quit working and as to big to go into the trash can.I put it on the floor and crushed and stomped in into a million pieces so that it would go into the trash can.After that I found some snails on our back patio.I finished giving my KLONKS a workout by sqashing the life ou of them.I also hope to find a pair of the wooden thongs that you have pictured under M.O.D. wooden thongs in pt. 6.I can't wait to do some crushing with those very powerful looking KLONKS.Thanks again for your site.

Comments: I belive, that I can find some of the Dr's flat pescura model in men sizes to 44 or 45 in size. Some of these are the classic 60's models in the orginal box. I bought a pair last yr. If you want a pair e me as soon as possible as the store, I feel is going to close soon. I live in New York city and always felt aroused at the sight of both women and men walking with bare feet in kleppers and flip-flops. I felt even mor so when wearing them myself, which I enjoy tremendously. I'm always waiting for warm enough weather to wear them and walk around. For a long time I wondered whether or not I was the only guy to feel that way, until I discovered web sites such as yours. T e existence of numerous and various well designed sites that sell on-line all kinds of kleppers and flip-flops is, in my view, another indication of their popularity. I love so much this kind of footwear that I own a large number of pairs of both kinds (kleppers and flip-flops). I'm blessed with decent looking, regularly aligned toes that I have no reason whatsoever to hide. I also believe that kleppers and flip-flops re a lot more healthy than conventional shoes which warp the contour of the feet, crush the toes and trap moisture within. The comfort and freedom felt when wearing kleppers and/or flip-flops speak for themselves. I tend to wear flip-flops when I have to travel or walk longer distances, preferably with a wide and loose strap. Although the 3 point-style thong holds better to the foot than kleppers, the loose strap allows some movement between my feet and the upper s le of the sandal, which I love the feeling of. Their soles tend to mold to the contour of the foot which makes them even more comfortable, enjoyable and personal. I own about half a dozen pairs of flip-flops, all with a thick squishy sole, and a loose str p. I also own three pairs of kleppers. They all are flat Dr Scholl. I usually wear them on strolls around town. I love these sandals with their strap which is mounted far forward, over the toes, leaving most of the back of my feet uncovered, free, and creati g an ample swing when slapping around. I wear them so often that their dangling doesn't prevent me from walking with a lot of ease, attracting the gazes of many. I'm even able to walk down stairs comfortably! As opposed to flip-flops which are more common people here aren't used to the sight of men walking around in kleppers. I love the attention I attract when walking around wearing them. Every year, when spring comes around, I see more and more people wearing all kinds of flip-flops. Not as many wear kleppers, but this too is on the rise, which is very good. I believe that people are realizing that sandals in general are the most comforta le, convenient and healthy casual shoes one can possibly wear. Moreover, many like myself feel that kleppers and flip-flops are the most enjoyable and the sexiest! I'm sure they also enjoy web sites such as yours, as I feel that way. I commend you for the good work you demonstrate. Please keep it up!

I really enjoy seeing (and hearing) guys with footwear like this on, especially Dr. Scholls (when I was in college there were several guys who used to wear them all the time, and I think they even made styles specially for men, bu you hardly ever seen them on a guy any more).
