MacVan Instruments (1996):

I did work experience in the area of soldering and secretarial. I also learned how to work the front desk and type envelopes. I also learned how to file and cross-file invoices and how the tariff system works.

Pioneer Electronics (1997):

I had a work placement here as a requirement to the Industry and Enterprise course. I learned how to find and fix faulty components in the repair department. I also learned to apply generic competency skills.

 CSIRO Electronics Division (1997):

I had this work placement here as part of my Industry and Enterprise course. I have learned what is involved with the design and construction of a electronic circuit and was able to design and make one of my own.

Hobbies and Interests:

I like technological systems and I am very interested and familiar with the Internet. I am very inquisitive and like to study physics and philosophy. I am very interested in computers and electronics. One of my many hobbies is playing computer games, especially over networks (ie. both Internet and Local Area Networks.)

I also like to play most team sports (e.g. Basketball, Badminton doubles, etc.). On Friday nights I usually meet my friends at the sports center and play a couple of games of both badminton and basketball. I am also learning Taekwando and like skiing and skating (Roller bladeing, Roller-skating and Ice skating.) and rock climbing. I also hope to take uo hang gliding and kiyaking.

I can play the piano and sing. I like music and drama. I have participated in a piano recital play (a main part at age 7) and the school production 'The Wiz' (a minor part at age 13). Although I am not good at free hand drawing I can draw and create pictures and designs on the computer with great ease. I like to paint as well.

Special Skills:

I can type, soldier, use the computer to create logos and graphics for documents, conduct searches on the internet and operate Microsoft Explorer and Netscape, I can use many windows applications. (I am familiar with Windows 95.)

Likewise, I write poetry, speak some Japanese and I have participated in SRC in year 10 and in year 11 as fundraising coordinator.
